I pay all of my bills on time, yet they just called me.

They call constantly everyday even weekends starting at 8:00 a.m.
WHO IS THIS AND WHAT DO THEY WANT????????????

They call at least 5 times a day, my cell phone, then even my work number. Never leave a message. ugggh

Who is this? Why are you calling me at all hours of the day? What is it you want? How will I know with all the scams out here and you want my what #######?

don't deal with GE capital but yet keep calling to verify my number for their records so the machine gets them they hang up now it is getting annoying they use several numbers through out the day.

It's credit card services, they want to help lower your credit card interest,  but they keep all the savings,,, SCAM

This number keeps calling and not leaving messages. Keeps asking for me and when I say How can I help you, they repeat that they want to speak with me... wth??

Just get a Google Voice number, send all your calls through it and it will auto block them as Spam; after you block them once. You'll never get calls from that number again. I very rarely get any spam calls anymore. Just one click and block. BAM!

This number calls 3-7 times per day. they refuse to stop calling when asked!!!

They are persistent as hell ! .... Annoying as hell !  Don't know who they are as I never answer 800 numbers.

They call every couple of hours with no message. I don't answer unknown or 800 style numbers at all. I got so tired of it, that I downloaded a call blocker. Problem solved

Couldn't even under stand what the man was saying...sounding like chinese or japanese.  i don't  have debts!! Sick of these calls!  When you try to call them back to see what the heck is going on, the number is usually void.

Its an FBI/NSA tracking number operated by SAIC.

Regardless of who actually owns this phone number, Internet telephone technology has made it easy for criminals to spoof their Caller ID and make it *appear* that their call is coming from 866-419-2780 even though it isn't. Many of the responses in this thread have made it clear that they are receiving calls even though they have no debts and that the caller is making ridiculous claims (like being from Pay Pal) so there's a high likelihood that at least some of the calls that appear to be coming from this number are really from scammers.

Don't trust any caller who is unwilling to send WRITTEN proof of the debt they're claiming you owe.

I just received a call and I could barely hear the person or understand the guy. He continued to tell me that I was behind on my Paypal payments and the I had $498 in purchases for the month of July. Weird, because I haven't used Paypal since October 2012! He continued to try to get me to make a payment over the phone and was very pushy. It was obviously some scammer so I continued to talk with them and berate scammers and people that compromise others' accounts, all the while pretending I was concerned and going to check in on the situation. He continued to act concerned and repeatedly asked for me to make a payment. I told him that I wasn't going to since someone obviously broke into my account. He continued to try to persuade me and I eventually had to hang up while he was yelling. Anyways, if they call back, I'm not going to be nice. Oh and guess what!? My account never had any purchases since over a year ago.
