You never ended up paying after all of that either.  I was also not as rude as you are wording this.  I provided you with everything you asked for.  I jumped through hoops to get this done.  I remember you...  How are your wages now?

That's old and was resolved within 1 business day.

We place it with our attorney network to file the suit.  It's not filed by us.

Okay guys, I just spent several hours going over posts and reading websites and the like trying to get some real information about FFG & Associates.

Yes it's true that at one point, they were operating without the correct licenses. Being a startup company, they had failed to obtain the required licenses and documentation from the state of Nevada, and were thus issued a cease and desist order. That order has been rectified, the company is now licenesed, and this license has been verified by the BBB of Southern Nevada.

They are now legally licensed as a collections agency, so my advice would be, if you owe money to a company, and expect that it might be in collections, contact the collections agency, and ask for paperwork to be mailed to you.

I am not an employee, just a consumer who had come across the company, and was interested in their legitimacy. I will be posting this same reply on other sites.

Doesn't matter if they are licensed or not they are not following the fair credit act and policies and they are trying to collect on bogus claims.  Do some more research and read.  These people are not running from their bills they are just not going to pay on a bill that isn't legit just because some scum bags bought some information and are preying on people that maybe had some issues at one time trying to scare them into paying.

You scum bags should pay your bills before you get sued like everyone else on here. So many people like to talk bad about people and say people are harrassing you? Since when is it harrassment for someone who you owe money to calls you and tells you to pay your bill? You dead beats should all be sued in court or learn how to pay your bills and you wouldn't have to worry about being sued! Good luck loosers!!!

I was served a court summons to go to court against FFG. Can someone give any advice as to what i should do next? I've never been sued before! Thanks!

Bill P...why would you go on a website like this to ask this question...because you are another FFG poser.  If you weren't you would be contacting a lawyer not a 800 notes website.  Get a real job loser.

Calm down guys, and be realistic.  Don't be upset with bill collectors.  If bill collectors calling you, there are 4 possible reasons:  

1.) you had unpaid debt (debt of any kind).  

2.)  you have a recycled tel#.  

3.) you are a relative, neighbor, friends, associates, acquaintances, and etc of a debtor/consumer.

or 4.) you are a victim of identity theft.

The best thing to do is to call them back.  WHY?  

1.)   If you arethe debtor, talk to them and pay your bill or make an arrangement.

2.)  If you have a recycled #, tell them the truth and they are more than happy to remove the # for you to avoid further calls.  

3.)  If you are a relative, neighbor, friends, associates, acquaintances, and etc of a debtor/consumer, help bill collector by giving them valid info about the consumer.

4.)  If you are a victim of identity theft, bill collector advise you to go get a police report.

Very simple guys.  Ignoring bill collector only makes things worst.

I agree with you.  You don't owe money directly to FFG, but you owed money to one of their client.  FFG retained by different companies to recover their money.  Don't run away; instead, stop and pay your bill.  Because of the technology (computers),  they are just one step behind you.  STOP!  Talk to us because we are here to help you and not to harrass you.  Resolve your debt in a voluntary basis, before further action...

The call me threating they they are from a Law firm

I got a call on friday from a Ms Grifo from CGF and Associates. She said that my acct had beenpassed to her and I needed to call her back by 6pm or she would have to finalize my acct. For 2 -3 weeks I have been threatened stating they have done all they can to help me and can no longer help because it will be turned over for litigation the next day.  Its funny how 4 or 5 different people have called me stating the same thing regarding the same case number...Well friday after checking my voice mail and hearing the call from Ms Grifo i opened my mail to find a letter. The top of the letter says " RoVo & Associates, a Professional Law Office" The address on the left side is 9980 W. Flamingo Rd las vegas, NV 89147. On the right side has phone and fax...702-838-7522 and fax 702-838-9132. Well when i called this number it says "Paladin Legal Advocary Center" I pulled the number up in the yellow pages reverse look-up and it pulls it Zachary Schwell 1051 Franklin Ave  Las Vegas NV  89104. This is a landline phone. The letter says I owe $1007 to CFG and Assc, orginal creditor is PDL Ventures. The letter says that Rovo & Assoc. is a "debt collector" attemptint to collect a debt. Rovo represents CFG and Assoc in the area of crditor rights. It says that CFG has retained RoVo & Assoc to collect from me the entire current balance. Within 1 week of this letter either pay CGF bal or phone them to work out arrangements for payment. If I do neither of these things Rovo & Assoc "may be authorized" to file a lawsuit against me for the collection of this debt when the 30 day is over. It also says "at this time no attorney with this firm has personallyreviewd the particular circumstances of your acct.  Yours Truly Rovo & Associates, A Professional law Office...no signature at all. It comes with a detachable portion to return with my payment to CFG and has CFG's address on it. if this was liget then the lawyer would have looked at my case and would not have sent a letter unsigned with a detachable portion to send. I'll be in Sanabel FL in 3 weeks so I'm going to visit the police department in Boca Raton and give them a copy of this letter and the list of numbers with the threats CFG and NCP have made to me. one number comes up as StarNet and when you call it back all it says is "willbe added later' over and over until it finally hangs up. that nubmer is  Ms Kite 561-.886-0196

Got a call at work from this number, only caught the end of the message, giving th enumber and asking me to call back and ask for Joseph. On doing so, I was told that Joseph wasn't in the office right now, so I said "then why is he leaving this as a call-back number on his outgoing calls and saying to ask for him?"
When asked who I was, I asked to whom I was talking, and that I needed to be added to a Do Not Call list. The "woman" who answered (If I can grace her with human characteristics) didn't have the intelligence to process that information and said "we dont operate a Do Not Call list". Good one. When dealing with imbeciles like this, know your rights, just as they should know them. If they refuse to process demands like this, contact your DA.

Don;t even start that rubbish, there are a lot more sensible people on here than you, with a lot more worthwhile things to say. It's you who needs to wise up, I've never owed anyone in my life, and I still hate your sort.
