I just got a call from this number, answered the phone, heard a female say hello, and when I answered, she hung up.  Googled the number and ended up here.  Now I have a better understanding of what's going on.

That being said -

Even if you have a number registered on the Do Not Call List, it does not apply in certain situations.

IIRC, those are:

1) Safety Issues - Recalls and the like,
2) Charities
3) Political calls, and
4) Businesses with which you have a previous relationship.

Based on this last one, if you have a Sprint phone (and I know some have said they do not, but most say they do) then Sprint can legally call you even though you have the number registered on Do No Call.

Does this make it right? No.
Is it good business on their part to have people calling repeatedly, and not leave messages, or ang up, I don't think so.

But it still doesn't violate the Do Not Call List, to the best of my understanding.

I recieve  one to two calls a day from this number almost every day. They come in on my Sprint cell. The call I do answer, all I hear is background noise.

These people tried to get me. they asked if we had problems with my wifes phone. I was confused. my wife nor I have problems. then he asked me about my phone. I havent had a phone in over 2 years. I told him if he was really sprint, he would know that. he hung up.

I had this number as a missed call on my cell phone so I called it back and it was sprint/nextel trying to sell me another line and/or upgrades to my phone.

I got a call from this number today and decided to google it.  Probably not the first time for this number, because I recently began receiving calls from 800/866 numbers, etc.  I never answer an unrecognized number and they never leave a message.  I am on the Do Not Call registry!  I know these companies nickel and dime you to death with the minutes.  How is that not stealing on a massive scale?  I think I would be in jail if I attempted this kind of thing.

I just called them back and got an automated Sprint operator who said they were calling to offer some new products. If I want to hear about it, press 5. If I don't want to hear about ANY promotions from Sprint, press 6. I pressed 6 because Sprint/Nextel SUCKS!!!

I got a call the other day from this number, and the lady started hitting on me. Asking if I was single, if my gf was good to me. I just called sprint and asked them what the hell that was all about. they told me they would investigate it. It sucked that I gave them my password, I think I need to call them back and change it.

I accidentally answered this call & heard a very static background.  The lady asked for me by my whole name, but when I said, this is she, the lady hung up.  I called back and I got a message saying that this is sprint/nextel and that they are closed & to call back later.

To clarify, although some of us are indeed part of the National call list, we are still part of the sprint call list.  What this means is they still have the right to give us a call, for them to inform tabout some great discounts that we have as a valued Sprint customer. I do understand where evrybody's coming from, I myself doesn't want to annoyed by these types of calls for that long. So I would recommend that you answer the call and hear them out. So by the time you've had a 2 minute discussion, you'll either be doing business or you won't. All you need to do is inform them if you're not interested or agree to whatever proposal they have. It would only take two minutes of your time. Who knows.. They might put a smile on your face like what they did to mine..

I've been getting these calls for many weeks. I never answered until I was at work, a family member was hospitalized, and I was expecting a call. Like another person reported, I neglected to look at the number. Same story: a person with a heavy accent trying to sell me another line. When I said no, she offered $150 off a new phone. If you would like to be excluded from internal calls; please email your request to:OfficeOfPrivacy@sprint.com.  Your request should include the cell numbers, as well as your account number which are to be excluded from interanal promotions.

I have been getting calls from this number about every other day for a few weeks now. I don't answer the call if I don't recognize the number. If it is important they can leave a message. It is quite annoying.

No message, usually in the late afternoon.

If you're a Sprint or Nextell customer the National Do Not call List won't do you any good. And appearently neither does getting on Sprints do not call list. I've told Sprint twice now that I did not want to recieve calls and all it's done is stop the calls for a few months. SPRINT SUCKS!!! I can't wait for my contract to be up.

i have been getting this call 1-866-463-3021 for the last week or so. No voicemail left on my cell or anything. I usually dont' pick up 800 numbers so i never answered.
