When I answered a recording came on saying they could reduce my interest rate on my Visa, Master card, Amex or Discover. I immediately hung up. SCAMMERS ready to steal your identity.

I received a call from this number claiming to be calling regarding my credit card.  The recording assured me that nothing was wrong with my credit card but that if I had any a MasterCard, Visa or Discover card then I should select 1 to get a better rate and select 2 to be removed from the list.  I just hung up since selecting 2 would only make them call more since I acknowledged them.  The recording did not identify any company name or any details related to a credit card that I actually have.  The call was made to my cell phone and I am on the Do-not-call list.

Recording: The usual misleading "This is a call from Credit Card Services regarding your account, press 1 to talk to a representative." as if it's your own company calling you.

Me: "What company are calling for?"

Representative: "Financial Services".  Then he hangs up, why waste time on somebody who's onto this misleading scam (debt consolidation, no doubt).

Call was to a direct-dial business line at a major corporation, that I'm sure is not associated with anyone's account anywhere -- they are just "demon-dialing" the entire exchange.

I got a call from this number early this morning. I work the night shift and was very upset to be woken by what ended up being a telemarketer. I added them to my cell phone's block list.

my 2 cents worth--- We just got a robot call at home from Dan at Financial Solutions on our pre-paid Tracphone.  It was the credit card interest rate scam.  He also outright lied to me about how he couldn't really do anything with my credit card number if he didn't have the verification code on the back.  So of course I was perfectly safe allowing him to "pre-qualify" me before handing me over to the rate reduction department.  Yeah, right.  Interestingly enough, we refilled the card just about 24 hours ago.  This call violated at least 12 separate provisions of federal and state consumer protection laws.  If you can find out who they really are- you can sue sue sue.  And not for pocket change either.  This one call could be worth $4-$6,000 plus your attorney fees if you are successful.  If you can't figure out who they really are, there is not a whole lot you can do.  If you really don't want the calls- there are things you can do- and things you should NOT do-first and foremost, don't answer the calls from numbers you don't recognize.  Pressing 2 to get off the list only verifies its a actual number.  Even if they take you off their list they turn around and sell your number to another list.  Some scammers make money off of dialing and hanging up (strange but true- it has to do with the caller id fees we all pay to the phone company).  Don't try and deal with them yourself if all you want is off their list.  You will simply get frustrated.  Remember, these are scammers. No matter how NICE they start out- they are trained con artists.  They will NOT make it easy for you to find them.  If you happen to get a newbie and he gives away a callback number, etc.  POST POST POST.  Attorneys use that information to track them down.  Frankly, the feds are pretty much not going to do anything to stop YOUR particular phone calls- they have literally millions of these a DAY (no kidding).  However, I still think it is worthwhile to file the complaint because when they do finally track them down, they can fine their butts per violation.

Same as all the other comments ''as above'',these people need to get a real clue and stop bothering people, actually there should be a law,but we know this is impossible, because probably one of "law makers" is the sponcer of all this

I just got a phone call to my Cell phone from this number-- To my understanding, it is illegal for a telemarketer to call a cellular phone? Do correct me if I'm not right...

Anyway; I was about to answer and the person had hung out because my ring tone cut off 5 seconds into it. I tried calling it back, but AT&T doesn't allow it to be called. Oh well...

All these calls are a scam initiated by phone companies to generate additional revenue by using a few minutes of each customers account time. I hope the FTC are enjoying the associated kickbacks they receive by allowing this to continue.  Are we ignorant?  They think we are.

We received calls from this number until I informed them we were a law firm. Needless to say, they were prompt to not only get off the phone, but remove us from their list.

They have muliple solicitation projects which now include cold calls from an automated system for mortgage refinancing. Be very aware of this company.
