This is a collection agency.  The reason I know this is because I'm sick and tired of getting these calls from TOLL FREE NUMBER, so I called them back after a hang up.  I asked what kind of a company they were.  I was transferred a couple of times and then finally spoke to Mr. Fisher.  I told him he'd better take my name off their list and to never call me again.  Several years ago, I rec'd a hard copy letter from a collection agency and panicked until I realized I never even had the type of credit card they were saying I owned money on.  I told them to remove my name from their list and they told me they'd see me in court.  I called their bluff and told them to give me a court date and that my attorney and I would see them there.  I never rec'd another hard copy again.  Now these slimy companies have gone from hard copy to telephone.  I'm older, wiser and more vocal.  I started to tell this guy to take my name off his list and he started getting mouthy with me.  I'm going to watch my language here, so I won't tell you exactly what I told him, but in other words, his ear is hopefully still ringing!!!  First of all, I suggest not answering the bloody phone if you have caller id and you see TOLL FREE NUMBER, but I also read that if you pick up the phone and press the # sign several times as soon as you pick it up, it supposedly messes up there system.  I know for a fact that I don't own ANYONE any money, much less be turned over to a collection agency, because my husband and I both bought brand new cars the other night totally over $90,000. So, if I were to be on any collection agency's list, there is no way we could have gotten past that in our credit check.  So, don't let these [***] get you scared if you should happen to pick up the phone and the person on the other ends tells you they are from a collection ageny and that you own money.  My suggestion is, we all get an airhorn and blow it into the phone as soon as these slimeballs start to talk.

Brand new phone, day 1 I get this call.  Only Verizon knows the number.  I litterally have told NO ONE this number, so they arent getting these from people weve done business with.  It seems to be straight bulk calling.

Called and hung up, random hours of the night, over the course of a few months.  When I called the number back, immediately after they called, it was a dude's voice saying "sorry, the toll free number you have called is disconnected."  Too bad they called again five min. later.  Weird.

So I am replying to my own post because this dude apparently left a message.  He says his name is Robin, and wants to give me healthcare for my family, and that I am uninsured.  Told me to call back and give him information at 1-877-284-5066, but when I call the original 1-800 number it says it is disconnected.  Sounds a little fishy.

Used to get calls from this number about auto warranty (I own no vehicles).  Now the latest is about how I can lower the interest rate on all of my credit cards.

Got this call while i was at work.  I answer phones all day for technical support, so I don't really have time to answer my phone, so I let it ring and no messages left or anything.  Safe to assume it's not important or they would have left a message.  Also safe to say I'm glad they didn't waste my minutes by leaving a message.

The guy who will find them! replies to Al
The number is not really from the company making the calls....Caller ID spoofing is a method in which a person can cause the telephone network to display a number on the recipient’s caller ID display which is not the number of the originating caller. The term is commonly used to describe deceptive situations in which the caller has nefarious motives. Since caller ID spoofing can make a phone call look like it’s coming from any phone number the caller wants and because people usually assume a call is actually coming from the number being displayed (and therefore, the associated person, persons, or organization), all kinds of things (both legal and illegal) can be done with such a manipulative ability.

Rest assured I am tracking them down and will post the number of the CEO everywhere for a year!!!

I just got one, let it go to the machine. No message. I just recently got this number and every single call that has come in has been someone I don't know, usually a telemarketer. I like screwing with them, though, so for now, I'm not doing the DNC list. They waste my time, so if I have a few minutes, I like to waste theirs.

Said it was about the economic stimulus package, if it says economic stimulus on it and it isn't from the government THROW IT AWAY/IGNORE THE CALL. No company is authorized to do any of this, you will get information from the US Treasury directly, and they will send you the check without asking for any personal information. The government already knows everything about you unless you're a hobo, and even then they likely do as well, anyone that tells you otherwise is scamming you.
