- mesg| 3 repliesFYI.. THIS IS A SCAM.. !!!!!!! the number IS NOT !!!!!! A TD/CANADA TRUST NUMBER !!!! is is an elaborate phone system spoof... ALL.. td/can trust numbers are toll free!!!! this is not...(866 485 5354). first tip off. secondly.. td can/trust does not phone solicit unless you have pre authorized them to contact you !!! and if they do contact you.. it will be from your local branch.. third... if you where stupid enough to call/contact them via your cell phone.... the cell charge scam they are running is $899.00 per minute... yup.. that`s right $899.00 per minute.. billed by a number account belonging to the Calondo Sea Trading Company in Nigeria... ( I suggest you contact you cell carrier immediately).
If you got baited by the slick folks on the other end of the line.. and actually verified .. what personal info they have on you.. get ready for the next faze of identity theft..
The reason you are being targeted by these vultures is quite simple.. you purchased something on line.. via your td/can trust visa..(either via paypal or direct via versign) usually EBAY or in my case AMAZON.CA. The retailers are legit (with their amazon listings) but then sell/give your personal info to these idiots. or are just selling chinese knock offs so cheap.. just to get your finacial and personal info. In my case i have only ever!!! done 2 on - line purchases.. (just for this reason). hence it was and is now quite easy for canada`s finest mounted force to track my cell barrages and actually get 3 of these morons..
I highly recommend you go to your local bank branch.. get new credit cards.. bank cards.. and new bank acounts.. and make sure to have them track your accounts for fraud..- Caller: TD/CANADA TRUST SCAM
- Call type: Debt collector
- mesg replies to mesgi forgot to mention this number.. DOES NOT EXIST IN ANY TD/CANADA TRUST PHONE SERVERS.. verified by a local branch manager and their fraud investigation department.. The R.C.M.P. is more than aware of this scam.. and are currently close to apprehending a few of these scammers.. in Canada and The U.S.A.
- Robby| 1 replyGet calls on my cell phone - never answer 800 calls - all are scammers - or companies that will not ID themselves properly - Why do they hide behind unidentified 800?

- mrs.k replies to Me| 2 repliesI have been banking w Toronto dominion bank for like 20 years and their customer service numbers have always been the same .... and when u pick up they r actually there and inform u who it is etc and present the business at hand. I am positive this is NOT td canada trust calling! This same number has been calling me numerous times at all hours ofthe day and very late night as well.... and on my caller id is says the call is coming from the United States! This is NOT td CANADA trust people..... this is clearly something else, and prob malicious. I will try and see if I can block the number. My advice to everyone is just ignore the calls and do not answer them. It is quite annoying getting like 10 calls a day from them though! ! :(

- Pam Westgate replies to prairiegold| 1 replyThey sue an auto dialer, its not an acutal person making the calls so after a few rings it disconnects. Or when you pick up they try and link and availbe employee to you but I guesss it doesn't always work
- Pam replies to vicIts not customer service its Collections
- Pam replies to RCIwhen they call they don't ask for any ifo they just tell you your past due on a payment. If you call in they ahve to confirm you are who you say you are and will ask privacy questions
- Jake replies to Pam Westgate*use an auto dialer
- ShawnaAs someone else said a couple pages back- you can get upset about the calls or you can jsut pick up and get it over with. If you think there is no reason for collections to be calling you then thats an even better reason to pick up because maybe something is wrong with your accoutns that your unaware of .
If you answer then everything gets all taken care of in less than a minute and probably saves your credit from getting damage. If you ignore their calls they'll keep coming and you'll continue to have a bill late- Caller: TD collections
- Call type: Debt collector
- Shawna replies to mesgHAHA wow this message is a huge joke, pay your bills buddy
- Twice aday for 6 days replies to JenniferJennifer, they may be closed on Sunday However I was auto called twice with nobody on the other end of the line twice this past Sunday.
- Susie replies to Jess| 4 repliesIts probably not settled and there is likely a good reason for the call. I had paid off my credit card (but in the middle of the billing cycle) and didn't know I would have one last interest charge (which comes on each month when your statement resets) I had no idea and they called to tell me before it damaged my credit.

Hi Monica,
Thanks for reaching out to us today with your question.
If you were behind on your TD Personal Line of Credit payments, depending on the situation we may contact you to discuss a payment arrangement over the phone or via mail as soon as 5 business days after your Line of Credit payment due date. If we were unable to get a hold of you, we may automatically debit an account of yours that had the necessary funds to bring the Line of Credit account up-to-date. However, please note that we wouldn’t debit CPP or OAS payments.
If you suspect that you’re going to fall behind on your payments, I encourage you to contact our Payment Office department at 1-866-485-5354, open Monday to Friday from 8am-10pm and on Saturdays from 9am-5pm, to discuss your situation further.
Lastly, consider visiting a Financial Advisor at your local TD branch....
