I went to the Moneymutual site (which Montell Williams promotes) on 12/9/09 to req $250.  From that site I was given a link to cashnetusa.com.  I went to that site, and received a message that the offer was not available in my state.  That's where the transaction ended.  The following day, I received two calls from different companies requesting that I contact them so that they could verify and complete my loan.  I NEVER returned either call, thinking that they just hadn't received an update that the loan couldn't process. The following day $250 appeared in my account. I contacted Bank of America and requested a reversal because I had not completed a loan.  On December 31st and January 15th, withdrawals of $75 was taken out of my account.  My bank reversed one, but not the other.  I feel that I owe this SSM Group $100 because they put $250 in my account even though UNAUTHORIZED, and took $150.  However, I had to have my bank block the debits from them, because I had no idea how long these $75 would continue on a loan that I DID NOT REQUEST.  Last week, I received an email from some collection company saying that an account with SSM Group had been turned over to them. I tried to reply, but it was blocked for no reply.  Today, I received a letter from National Credit Adjusters stating that they own the account that I created with SSM Group, and that I owe $430.00 due to interest and late charges, and that the actual amount may be higher.  I NEVER COMPLETED A LOAN WITH ANYONE.  There are no loan papers, nor verbal verification from me.  This $250 that I did NOT request is not $430.00.  I've have no idea how to get these people out of my life, get them their $100, and off my credit report.  Any suggestions?

I had the same thing occur.  I did an on-line inquiry and by this alone it gave them access to my bank account.  They deposited $200 into my account and I did not realize that they deposited this total.  They were also debiting $60 (bi-weekly) from my checking account which was also my payroll account and I didn't realize that either.  I must admit, I don't regularly check my bank statements, but this particular time that I read one of my statements, I realized that $60 was being debited from my account.  I had been given a $200 deposit and by the time I realized it, my account had already been debited $360 dollars.  I contacted my bank and they looked up the name of the company and gave me the number.  I then called this fraudulent company and they stated I gave permission once I did the on-line inquiry.  This representative was very rude and we went back & forth about this until I hung up on her.  I called my bank the next morning and I told them about this whole ordeal.  They told me to come in and they could possibly refund some of my money. Once I got to the bank, the account representative refunded all of my money and blocked this amount from being debited until all of my transactions cleared.  Once they all cleared I closed this accoount and opened a new one.
Of course after this, the company begin calling me like crazy about the pay-day loan.  Since I had previously filed for bankruptcy, I told them to contact my bankruptcy lawyer.  I gave them his name addreess and number & havent heard from them since.

what you need to do is call an attorney and have them write a letter on your behalf something like this happened to a friend and they got it taken care of. And now I am dealing with the same thing from DJR Group but I am going to call my law firm the first thing in the monday. If that sounds like it may be pricey its not because I have a prepaid legal membership check out www.greatlegalbenefit.com and if you need more info get with me leahlogic@yahoo.com or you can even call me at 618-304-6996 I'm very upset that something like this has happened to me but I am confident that it will be resolved and my membership is why. Hope it works out for you, and again if you have any questions you can contact me.

    Info from debtconsolidation.com
    1) An initial search for contact info for this company gave me the phone number (866) 516-3100. When you call that, it lists the names of several companies and the phone numbers to call, for each company.

    2) The phone number listed from that answering service is (866) 463-2130. This sends you to a company called OSL Marketing. Their hours are 8 am - 4:30 pm central time.

    3) The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has the above number listed for SSM Group LLC, as well as a P.O. Box address located in Mission, Kansas. This won't be much help, as that's not a physical address.

    4) In a search of OSL Marketing on the BBB's website, I've come up with two additional numbers. They are:
    (816) 822-8677
    (866) 533-5788

    And a physical address of:

    2 E. Gregory Blvd.
    Kansas City, MO 64114

I Googled the first phone number which linked me to a Merchant Circle page.

The phone number does actually belong to OSL Marketing. The address on that page is as follows:

    11 Gregory Blvd Apt E
    Kansas City, MO 64114

A Google Maps search of the first address associates it with OSL Marketing, but also another company called KC Mortage Group.

A Google Maps search of the second address corrects it to be this address:

    11 E Gregory Blvd,
    Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri 64113

    and also this address

    11 E Gregory Blvd
    Kansas City, MO 64113

Both of which are associated with OSL Marketing Inc./Shabazz Londa Atty/Kansas City Federation-Mscns.

A Google search for the second (866) number leads to OSL Marketing and another loan company called DJR Group.

The first link in the search shows that DJR Group apparently has the same practices as SSM Group LLC/OSL Marketing.

The DJR Group BBB page lists an address located in Mission, Kansas. The address listed is:

    5700 Broadmoor St
    Mission, KS 66202

This company, like OSL Marketing, has a F and is not a BBB accredited company. A Google Maps search for that address brings up the names of like ten (10) companies, but I don't see DJR Group LLC in there anywhere.

I borrowed $300 from this horrible company and agreed to have the money withdrawn from my bank account bi-weekly.  To my uderstanding the first $90 was the finance charge and the remainder of the loan would be debited in the following weeks. Well after paying back nearly $400 I decided to call SSM Group/ OSL Marketing (866-463-2130) at which point I was hung up on twice before I got to ask a question and when I finally spoke to someone they told me I still owed $390.  I am going to close my account and they can kiss my @ss because there is no way that the interest on any loan is $90 every 2 weeks and it never gets paid off.  I am working on rebuilding my credit and I don't want these fools to mess that up.  If anyone has an idea of how to stop them without getting sent to collections i will be happy to know.

    Hello,

This morning I got $250.00 depsoited into my account, when I never talked to them or authorized. I called and had to hit 4 and option 8, 866-463-2130 if it came from SSM Group. If you hit 4 to talk to some one and goes to voice mail keep trying. They will ask for a statement or even a screen shot of a running balance of your acounnt. Sounds sketchy. I asked the funds to be debited back.

    I hope this helps

contact your bank and have them REVERSE the deposit ASAP- Check with your bank about what kind of Fraud related options you have.  Its best to have everything in writing as back up.  Or record calls with your bank.

contact your State Attorney General and report them as well

ADD ARIZONA - AS OF JULY 1, 2010 TO THE LIST OF STATES WITH PAYDAY LOAN BANS

Payday lending expires in Ariz. on Thursday
    by Michelle Price - Jun. 29, 2010 10:34 AM
    Associated Press
Payday lenders charging triple-digit interest rates will no longer be allowed to operate in Arizona after a 10-year-old law expires Thursday.
Lending companies failed to persuade voters or the Legislature to extend the provision allowing the high rates.
"Their product is predatory," said David Higuera, a volunteer and former political director for Arizonans for Responsible Lending. "It's designed to trap the borrower and keep them in a repeated cycle of borrowing."
The expiration of the law likely won't end the industry in Arizona.
Payday lenders have bypassed restrictions in other states by continuing to charge high interest rates and fees on loans marketed as prepaid debit cards and sham auto-title loans, state Attorney General Terry Goddard said.
Lee Miller, a lobbyist for the industry, said many local companies might close, while national companies keep offering other products such as money orders, wire transfers and legitimate auto-title loans.
Cincinnati-based Check n Go is closing all of its 34 locations in the state, said spokesman John Rabenold. Two other lending companies weren't sure if their locations would survive.
Customers are disappointed to lose payday loans and will have fewer options to cover their bills, Rabenold said.
"They don't know what they're going to do," he said. "There's a reason they came to our stores."
Payday lenders write checks for short-term loans while charging fees that can amount to interest rates of more than 400 percent on an annual basis. There are about 600 payday loan stores in Arizona, according to the state Department of Financial Institutions.
In 2008, the industry backed an effort to extend the loan practices. Arizona voters overwhelmingly rejected the measure.
Starting July 1, loans with annual interest rates exceeding 36 percent will be illegal in Arizona. Fifteen other states and the District of Columbia already use rate caps to limit payday loans, according to the Consumer Federation of America, a nonprofit consumer advocacy group in Washington, D.C.
Earlier this month, Goddard announced a program to aggressively pursue violators after the law expires. His "Operation Sunset" plan includes a task force, public education campaign and consumer hot line. Goddard said about 200 lenders have filed for licenses to make auto-title loans once high-interest payday lending ends.
"We believe that a lot of people are ready by telling their customers to shift to auto-title loans, even if they don't have a car," Goddard said.
Kelly Griffith of the Southwest Center for Economic Integrity in Tucson said she is organizing volunteers to secretly shop at payday centers and notify the attorney general's office of violations.
Griffith believes many borrowers don't know what they're getting into when they get a payday loan.
"It's leaving families in worse shape then when they started," Griffith said. "Many of them actually end up declaring bankruptcy."
That's what happened to 47-year-old Diane Lehman of Tucson, who declared bankruptcy after struggling for two years to reimburse payday lenders.
Ten years ago, Lehman was a single mom working full-time, putting herself through school and raising two young children.
She took out a payday loan and quickly discovered she couldn't afford to pay it back.
"It was like a vicious circle that I couldn't get out of," she said.
