- CWG40 replies to monitez maloneCould be a debt collector. If you think you owe a debt tell the person attempting to collect it to send you a written statement of the debt in writing by US mail. If they don't do this don't pay anything to anybody. Don't let them threaten you with criminal prosecution. There's no arrest for civil debt in the US. Police are not involved in ordinary civil debt.
If you are being harassed by debt collectors you can report it to local police.

- Wheezie replies to deen| 2 repliesI got a call from DJR group saying I owed 650.00 and that is was taken out in 10/11/210. They proceed to tell me that my bank told them I closed my account. They told me this was hooked up with my Social Security card. They said it was fraud talked to a MissWilliams. I never got the money in my account that month or day.
- JuanitaThis same company called me saying i took a payday loan in 9/2012, and they wanted me to give them my bank account information over the phone so they could take 510.00 out of my bank account. Really, these people need to be stopped. They said they deposited the money, and i spent it. They have the wrong account.

- AI actually changed my phone number because of these companies. I very desperately and very stupidly took out payday loans years ago, and they are all paid off. I have paperwork and banking statements showing this. I talked to attorneys too. But ever since, my phone would just get blown up by phony debt collectors and other companies. It was like a virus, it just exploded into multiple companies harassing and threatening me. After over a year of dealing with this crap, I finally changed my phone number a month or two ago. Definitely the best decision I ever made about this situation. If you are ever thinking of getting a payday loan, DON'T DO IT! It's not worth it! And don't fall for any of their lies and threats.

- JI reported reported SSM LLC/Hydra Fund/ACS to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau(CFPB) back in March for having debt collectors continuously harass me for years over a debt I no longer owe and eventually had to change my number to get to them to stop. I received a couple of emails afterwards that pretty much said the CFPB weren't going to do anything, or so it seemed. But after almost 6 months, I finally received an email from a CFPB investigator last week regarding this issue. I have sent him banking statements and other documents and emails to back me up. He has also been working with an attorney as well. I don't know what will happen, but he has been keeping me in touch by phone and email, and is currently investigating SSM LLC/Hydra Fund/ACS, and says it may go to court. I hope that it does go to court, and that these companies get their a**** handed to them.

- ASSM LLC are definitely total scammers. They also use the names ACS and Hydra Fund. Don't give them any of your info, or fall for any of their lies and threats. Anyone who is being harrassed by these companies needs to get as much info as possible and report them, and probably put a fraud alert request to the credit bureaus. I reported them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the FTC. They are now being sued by the CFPB :-) It'll be a lot of fun to get collection calls on behalf of a company that is getting sued.
