They operate using so many different names on their LLC papers it says the name of the company is BCN Call Center Inc. lol!!!!! Then when they call you it's BCN Asset Investigative Services. All I know who have a legit business don't use all different types of names.

Then on the form he didn't even know where his own business he was opening the address it was Milton Road then it was WT Harris which is the real address. How could they want to take money from people and don't even know where there office is located b/c they scam and tryin to do too much.

I love it when the scammers post messages trying to scare people. Their tactics do indeed violate the law, and a debt that old would no longer be valid. Get educated about the law, people! They buy old debt for pennies on the dollar and try to scam you into paying it, even though you have no legal obligation, with their phone calls and BS postings here.

Ha ha ha, what BS! The onus is not on the consumer to prove they don't owe the debt. It's on the sharks to prove that there is one. These blatant lies prove that the losers are over here posting and trying to scare people. What a bunch of no-lifes.

I bet their landlords would be proud to know what type of operation is running out of their store fronts or office space.

What information needed to bring them down? Could we contact the landlord and would that work and filling complaints with the proper people will it still work for them to get shut down? Just wanting to know they need to be. It's not illegal to collect debt but the measures they are using are too legal!!!f!! That's what will get them!!!!1

Dateline had a special on these companies try to email them or whoever to get them shut down!!!!!!! Sick of them its legal to collect debt but illegal the things they say to get the debt paid

I would suggest that the first two similar posts in this tree were produced by the same individual.  This is obviously an attempt to lend credibility to the ridiculous claims of this bill collector.  If they had any real power they wouldn't be wasting their time trolling these message boards, they would be actually taking people to court.

I used to be involved with this type of business, my only question to all who leave comments, DO YOU REALLY OWE THE BILL? If you dont owe any money than just hang up, but if you do than STOP BEING A DEBT BEAT, & START PAYING YOUR BILLS!!!!

Sir or ma'am, the main point of contention in this thread is the methods and practices being used by BCN Call Center Inc. / BCN Financial Inc. /BCN Claim Service/ BCN Asset Investigative Services.  Threatening arrest as a method of stimulating payment is illegal.

u have 2 much time on your hands, get a life. When i used to collect for a agency, i always hated "professional debtors"; people who owe legitimate debts, but try to use all kinds of legal loopholes to avoid paying them.

im confused. when i got to court, BCN's attorney seemed like a real atty? I was ordered to pay by a judge, should I not keep paying? I dont want to listen to these threads & be sorry later.

Don't, don't, don't contact the landlord.  It serves no purpose. Let's be better than that.  You need to just follow through with some steps.

If anyone is having "dealings" with these folks, then you need to do the following:

    1. Send a cease and desist letter to BCN by certified mail with
       return receipt service. You can find many example letters on
       the web.  You just modify it to suit your needs.  A few links where

       just search Google.

    2. If you've been threatened with legal action on a debt that is
       not yours or is time barred by your state's statute of
       limitations, contact your state's consumer protection agency
       to file a complaint.  In some states this the the office of the
       Attorney General.  Other states may have a separate agency
       which serves this role.  If you're being harrassed (i.e.
       the sheriff could come and arrest you for not paying) it is
       vital to report this.  You may consider reporting threats of
       arrest to your local law enforcement.  If you do, you need to
       do so honestly.  *Making up a lie about being threatened and
       reporting it can get you in very deep water*.    
    3. File a complaint with the Charlotte Better Business Bureau
       (BBB of Southern Piedmont, Inc) http://charlotte.bbb.org


Most important of these is to send the cease and desist letter.  Send it right away.  You absolutely must assert your rights.  How it works out, who knows.  You can't ignore this.  You can locate BCN's contact information elsewhere in this thread.

BTW, you know ALL CAPS is bad etiquette, right.
