Obviouslly an automated call, because he is asking my voicemail to press one, and it is exactly the same message too.  

I used to work in telemarketing... for about a month... and I understand when people are just trying to make their rent, but I am on the DNC list, and this is getting harassing and annoying.

Honestly, you are right, they are not allowed to threaten jail, and debt collection is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.

Got 2 calls so far claiming I owe a cellphone bill that I don't even recognize. Person's name is STEVE GOODE, real piece of work. He's hard at hearing and talks over you, surprisingly due to the line of work this scum is in. Either way, until I see something on paper, no way in hell this *ofo is getting a dime.

This guy "Craig Jabson" just called and left a voicemail saying same thing like he did for everyone else.  I received his call several times before.  I knew something was up.  I just filed complained with FCC.  This guy has to be stopped.

I don't know if it's the same number (We've got bare-bones no-caller-ID local-only land-line here).  I found this listing Googling for "Craig Jepson" - I'm getting the same automated "I have something important to discuss with you" message.  Got one last week, just got another today.

From this, it sounds like someone making an attempt to social-engineer some identity-theft information.

Hey - I got two calls this past week from Craig Jepson - the first was an unknown caller id and the second was a different 800 number.  I let voicemail get both calls and same message as everyone else.

A certain Craig Jepson (or Jenson) called and left several messages for us.

When I called back and asked to speak to Craig Jepson the agent said "Craig Jepson" was a code word for their group and that he could handle the call. Turns our that they had the wrong number.

According to the web site they are a  "debt collector".

Automated call from "Craig Jepson" saying he had an important matter to discuss. I am to press 1 to speak to a representative or return his call. This is calling every day. This is my work number. I am not returning his call. Very annoying.

I think if you tell them that you are not allowed to recieve calls at work they have to quit calling you there.  I think this is part of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  Here is a link to some info:

Caller named Craig Jeffson asks us to please hit the number one to hear an important message from him.

They called me today, 07/18/2008 around 8:00AM (Hawaii Time), and left a voice message.  I returned their call, and asked who do they want to speak with.  They said, they are looking for "F.P." who owns a debt with such and such.  I said I am "F.P." and I don't own any debt with such and such. I asked the last digit of Social Security of "F.P.".  They said it's "0232" AND I TOLD THEM YOU GOT THE WRONG PERSON!!!

THIS COMPANY WOULD CALL ANYONE WHO HAS A NAME LIKE MINE.  WHAT A STUPID SYSTEM THEY HAVE.  I WOULD REPORT THEM TO THE FTC.

You know it, I know it and everybody on this site knows it.  You guys are scammers.  If you are so legit why will you not verify our "debt" by forwarding any paperwork that you might have.  In this day and age of identity theft why on Earth would anybody give their SS# or any other personal information over the phone to a complete stranger.

They do not tell you but if you call the number it is "Leading Edge Recovery Solutions".  Man call me looking for the previous homeowner since I moved in.  It's a pain.

I am getting the same calls now from craig jenson. i just got a landline for the first time 3 weeks ago and these calls started. i have just been ignoring them. i have no outstanding debt anywhere so i would be suprised if they were a legitimate debt collection agency.

I keep getting his calls - although they lately have been showing up as unknown and after saying hello many times a recording starts playing finally.  When another collection agency called me at least it was a real person.  Sounds like to me that these people are so lazy that they have to have a recording and can't make the calls themselves.  My voicemail doesn't know how to press the number one.  Get real.
