Call from Tony, I won one of 4 prizes in last 12 - 18 months, never mentioned my name, said they're not a telemarketer or Timeshare, knows I am on the No Call List (I'm not). It's in my best interests to call him back at 866-601-8851 x-1001, but Caller ID has the call from 708-833-8733.

I came home today to the same message on my voice mail as others describe here.  He never said my name and didn't list any prizes.  I don't have caller ID, but he called himself Tony and told me to call 866-601-8851 x1001.  He must be a really busy guy.  I may call back just for fun (because checked the internet first), but I haven't entered any contests - so I'm sure it is some sort of scam.

it is very funny how people are reporting this number as a scam but never bothered to call back. I will be presuing this matter with litigation to all who has made a slender comment without any merit.

I am employed by the Prize Fulfillment Center. In reading all of your comments/complaints, I've not found ANY foundation nor reasoning as to why you all feel like what we do is a scam.  First of all, if you have NOT responded to the call, how can you make a definitive assessment of why we're calling?  Secondly, we do NOT place cold calls.  The information we receive actually DOES come from individuals who HAVE INDEED, whether knowingly or not, filled out a contest entry form of some kind.  I have done that myself.  When surfing the web, replying or filling out surveys in pop-up windows, at the local grocery store for a sweepstakes, etc.  Finally, again, if you have NOT responded, I admonish you to gracefully keep your negative comments to yourselves as this kind of beratement does in fact hurt businesses who are attempting to strive in this worsening economy.  Thank you.

Another phone scam involves calls from “Prize Distribution Centers” that claim that you are the winner in sweepstakes or a lottery. Of course, you are not the only “winner” in the lottery and tens of thousands of people received the same call. The goal of the scheme is to entice you to make a relatively small payment (for example, shipping and handling fee, a sales tax) promising that a much bigger prize will be sent your way.

Once the payment is sent, you will most likely not hear from the company again, and a promised “Lincoln Navigator” will not find its way to your driveway.

I have read the comments not one person has said they participated in the call and didnt recieve a gift. Not one person has came forth and stated that the gift costed them many. What I have heard is Tony called me, but didnt return the call. If it was a scam the state would have filed a complaint. The Prize Fulfillment Center is a Marketing compnay hired to promote the grand opening of new business.  Keep in mind that Google is currently being sued for these types of sites that are not being monitored. I have also contacted the States Attorney in regards to the slender comments

I have never won anything in my life. Being aware of that I stopped entering all contests at the age of 22. I have not entered any contests for eight years.

Just got a call from Tony. Same story as those listed above. Did not address me by name. Said he had tried several times to contact me, which is not correct.

1. If I had entered a contest (which I did not) I would have given my phone number so there would be no reason to mention the fact that I am on the No Call list, nor would they know.

2. They would be able to address me by name.

3. They would have followed up with a letter (mailed to the home address I would have provided)containing information about the contest, my name, address, and the actual prize won.

In fairness to the caller. My parents attended a seminar from another agency years ago and did receive some fun prizes (Rubber raft, Binoculars, Small B&W TV) the seminar was a time share program.

In response to the person reporting the Slender. Its Slander not Slender and that isn't correct either, as the person you suppossedly reported it to should have informed you. Slander is verbal. Since the comments were posted in print it would be Libel.

I rec'd call from Tayita (sp) from 866-832-6755 X-2466. Caller ID# is 773-663-4369 Prize Fulfillment and she told me that I had signed up thru the website www.barrons.com which is a Financial Services website???

Anyway they told me the same info about a 2010 Lincoln Navigator (which why anyone would want- they only get like 10-12 mpg), $45,000 (Now we are talking, I will go pay off my bills and car and buy that Mercedes I richly deserve), I think she told me $2500, a 32" TV, which I would have to place for but may have to make room for or could sale, or some trips to Las Vegas, well I need to win that $45,000 for my gambling habit or Puerto LaVarrta (sp), which I still need the $45,000 to buy my alcohol...LOL.

Anyway I have an appt at Wed.,August 5th 8:00 PM, at 5601 Bridge St., Ste 300, Fort Worth, TX 76112-2306.  So I am going to go and check it out.  So I will let you all know about the situation.

I get a call everyday from this number at work.  I do not answer my phone anymore to avoid the telemarketing. I figure if it is important they will leave a message or send me an email.
I never had a doubt it was a scam, I would never enter my work phone # on a contest, and I do not participate in contests...  They never mention a name on the message...
