I've beengetting called by this number for over a month now, and finally today i talked to a thick accent saying that my husband and i are getting This platnum card and wanted to know personal info. Of course i didnt give him anything(I HOPE NOBODY ELSE DOES EITHER!!) I asked if my bank could give me info. on the card and he said "yes". I also asked if my number could be taken off the calling list. He said "sure". I'll let you know if that happens.

Called my house everyweek and left no message. So sick of it.

I get this number every three hours at least 4 times a week - including weekends.  I will not answer - thank god for call display - but honestly.. bugger off!  I have a home office and it's annoying to hear that damn ring every three hours - I can usualy guess who it is...
Never had or wanted a MBNA card...

I live in Alberta/Canada as well, and they have been calling me every day for the past week, up to 6 times a day.  The more days that go on without me answering, the more they seem to call.

They call many times a day and nothing is at the other end.  How do you make it stop?

yeah those s.o.b's have been calling atlest three times a day this whole week. today i finally picked up but nothing. i hear a few clicks and then quiet. im so ticked off right now that next time they call i will go through my dirtiest vocabulary that comes to mind!

I have been getting this call for the LAST week .. answered once and told him i was on the way out the door, but this number called at LEAST twice today.  (an I AM in Ontario)

INcluding 830pm tonight... COME ON!
GET AWAY DUMBIES This is very frustrating.

My favourite is when you get a call saying you win a vacation and all this jazz, and then they tell you to press #1 to go on the DO NOT CALL LIST well sorry you can't be legit if there is a DO NOT CALL LIST!

Anyway, I am tired of this BS.

Yup MBNA trying to sell you insurance - They say, oh don't worry we'll just sign you up and if you don't like it, cancel...  You probably gotta jump backwards through hoops blindfolded to get it canceled, just say NO and HANG UP!

I did the same ang got the same answer. Hopefully they will stop.

I live in Montreal; same thing, no one talks, they just hang up.

This was MBNA peddling their Platinum MasterCard.  The caller was annoyingly persistent.

MBNA markets thru banks, credit unions and retail stores, almost entirely by mail.  they do not call people out of the blue.  If you gave out maiden name, SIN and birthday, for sure it's a scam.  MBNA would send you a form to fill in and mail back, so do not ever play along with these guys.  Anyway, MBNA has a very high interest rate, so why would you get one anyway...

They called 5 times today - no message left.  I think I have talked with them in the past though - the posts from 'Fatigued' and 'Spike' reminded me of the conversation.  They attempt to solicit too much information which gives them away as data miners rather than as a legitimate business call.  I told the woman on the other end that if she was legit she should already have my information from my current Mastercard account.  She countered with the need to verify my info in order to offer me the "special" deal on whatever it was....ripping me off more than likely!!

Received the same call, in french this time (cauz im french yes :P) about the same damn things... Receinved it in Quebec, Canada. Ask them to stop, they never mind and call again and again.. what a pain ...

caller identified himself as calling on behalf of MBNA.  I told him I had requested my number removed from the call list numerous times.  He assured me that it would be this time.  I asked for his name and direct phone no. so I could contact him if my name was not removed.  He spelled his name as TENZIM JORDSEM.  He gave his personal cell phone No. as 990-276-5083.  That's great except that there is no area code 990.

Yea its on my phone display on a regular basis. Last I checked it was counted 9x. They never leave a message. And I rarely pick up numbers I do not know. If it was important they would leave a message. I am in Ontario.

I've been getting this call a lot lately in Kitchener, ON.

Incredibly obnoxious.  Evey single day.  Was it always this bad?
