So Anon, from your response everyone knows you must work for  them. My wife received a call and no message was left. I called the number back and the individual that answered the refused to give me any information about who the company was and demanded that I give him my name and phone number. At this point I disconnected the call as I will not give any information out unless I know who I am dealing with. If the company was up front with the individuals that they call and would have left a message or had the courtesy to explain that they were hired by the Dept. of Education to collect on student loans I would have been much more cooperative with the company. I would have explained that my wife has had all her student loans discharged through the Department of Education due to the fact that she is disabled as she is suffering from a  glioblastoma multiforme stage 4. Just in case you are not aware of what that is I will enlighten you. "Terminal Brain Cancer".  So just maybe you so called "Professionals" need to act more professionally and "LISTEN" to the people you are calling. Smart people will not give out information to individuals that they do not know. So your number is now blocked and I have filed a formal complaint of harrassment against your company with the Department of Education.

All well and good but how about my case? I'm now retired started work right out of high school never attended college or even applied for a student loan but I get continued calls and letters. When I explain to them they have no idea what their talking about I get called a liar!

I got the call this morning (I never answer unknown callers). Here's the rub. I have *NO* outstanding DOE loans. I paid them ALL off 40 years ago. So why should I follow any of your advice since I know it's a scam, even if it is related to the DOE (which I no longer trust anyway).  Blocked the caller.
