I checked my voicemail today,another phone call from 18666808956, this is the 3rd time they called me this year. This time her name was Debbie,They had my name,last 4 digits of my social, and my address, and that they had a case that was going to be filed against me with a 6 digit case number. Oh, and that I needed to show proper identification if and when they serve papers to me. I feel like such an idiot, because 3 years ago, I got a call like this, "it scared the poo out of me,and I paid an Individual like in 3 installments that added to be out to like $800 or something from a payday loan that I knew I took out like 11 years ago. I knew there were only 3 payday loans I had done in my life, then the next year, another lady threatened me again, I paid her installments that added out to be almost $700 or something like that , then last summer,AGAIN, and I paid like installments again to $600 or something like that. I knew that was the last one because I never had took out more then 3. Then I started getting calls like this again this year, and I KNEW I had no more payday loans to pay back because I already paid these scammers, but then I started researching these phone numbers and Im so upset,because all the numbers from before were just scammers. Now I'm wondering, where did all my money go? I feel like such an idiot,because I let them con me 3 times. Something needs to happen to these people. Wish I could sue them.Terrible people ! Do not let them threaten you like this, they threatened me with getting papers served if I did not pay within one months time, that I would be charged in criminal court if it was not paid asap.

You do understand that being in ordinary civil debt is not a crime and you cannot be arrested for it.

I receive a message from someone name Zack Bradley stating he was license prosecutor with the state and he had documents with my name and last four digits of my social security number plus a file number and he is coming to my home or job to serve me the number he left 866-680-8956.

Just got a call on my google voice number....it sends me text messages ...Lady was calling for my husband for something he opened in 2005 and last paid in 2008. Had and address from 2005 and old home number....lol I work in credit/collections and said uh if it was unpaid there has been no collection calls/letters from them. I honestly didn't remember the cc ....and I told her statue of limitations is up and she said well this is time sensitive and we need to get this resolved...We have moved like 4 times since then and have gotten no letters or calls....she tells me well you know as well as I do people hire kids from high school to collect on stuff..I said well that's the companys problem they're not training them correctly and they should hire people who care about their job instead of earning a paycheck to clock in/out. So they had no information since 2008 on my husband...but they're sending people to his job...lol

Talk about bad timing.. I was dealing with other disturbing news when this "unavailable" number called me.. They read my full name, CURRENT address and last four of my Soc. The guy said he was in front of my house, and that he has papers to serve me with. WHAT!?? Um, I am home. Nice try. It still freaked me out.. He told me to call the 866-680-8956 number and give them my CASE #.. and then I can stall being served. So I called... because maybe this is LEGIT? I get a Steven BELL.. EXT 104... HE starts telling me that back in 2001.. I had a payday loan under Advanced America, and they are suing me for charges and for check fraud.. WOW! 14 years ago. and they just find me.. this is amazing! NOT. So "steven" proceeds to tell me that they are willing to take a settlement of half of what is owed.. and how would I like to pay? VISA, MC, AM Discover? Even please go down and get a pre paid card and put the amount on it and call me back before 6 pm Eastern time.  And if this is not settled, I will go to jail for check fraud.. WOW!! Not what I needed on top of what I was already dealing with!! So I hopped online and typed the number in.. and here I am!! I placed them on auto reject... though I cant do it with the unavailable number that called me.. But officially I am freaked out because these people have my information and who is to say they dont really try and show up? Has anyone reported this? Should I report this to the authorities??  Should I start cleaning my guns?? LOL!

Reporting it to your state attorney general would help others.

I got the same call today. They left it on my voice mail. And don't answer my phone for anything when it comes private or unknown name or just number. I was told by my police department. So I look up numbers now. And I know I don't own money to many one. These ppl need to be arrested and put in jail.

I got a call from an unknown number saying my last 4 of my social, a very old address (my parents) and a case number 220-338. She said she was giving me a courtesy call about a check I had written. I haven't written a check in years. Who does that anymore? When I asked how much this check was for, she could not tell me as she said the case was sealed and that this number 866-680-8956 with CR legal had all that information. Red flags immediate went up and I googled this number. Complete scam. I have not even called this number back. Post this number on any social media you are linked to so the word can be spread and hopefully it will stop the people who would believe this scam.

Same [***] called me today with the same name claiming she worked for Colorado and called my wife and said I owed money for a bad check...haven't written a check in almost 10 years...big time scam

These people are ridiculous. I got a call from a lady named cassandra wilson said she was a state processor for Ohio she somehow caller from the Warren court house. She gave me a case number and told me to call 18666808956 to avoid being served age then said good luck. I called the courthouse spoke with them told them what she had said to me they said she is not legit do not give out any info to them. She just called me back today from and unknown number told me to call her at her number 18666808956 with her extension.. these people are a bunch of liars

I received  a voice mail today from a guy calling himself Brian Newlson. Claming to be a court  liaison for KS. He stated that they had received a fax from the the legal department and I owed a back debt.
He did not state what it was not an amount. Just said he would be by my house or work with the package.
Then he  said if I had any questions I should call the complaint department @ 866-680-8956. I tried all I got was a recording that an error had occurred.
I know I do not owe any debts anywhere.
This is a complete scam!

I got the call from Cassandra Wilson stating that I was going to be served and was to call back 88-680-8956 ext 108, as a single mother I was terrified. So I called the number back and spoke with the most ghetto person named Angie who called me names such as simple, crazy and stupid. She refused to give me her supervisor threatened to call my work to say that I was crazy and simple. These people can not be the right people. Angie said that the calls are monitored but they are not. Do not fall for t his.

I've paid the same debt three x before I realized what was going on when I called to confront them they called my h.r. dept. (Caller id) To say I harassed them lol.  My H.R is in house and knew the guy was not their lawyer.  Shady.  Smdh

Now they say they represent Northeast Assets Recovery Group (NARG out of Buffalo). I got a second voice mail from them today and the last message asked for me or my lawyer to call back. I always pay my bills so I am not worried.

They are required to do this within 5 days of the first message.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Left a voicemail stating I was to call back to give a statement leading towards legal action.  The call originated in Delaware but reverts to the given 866 number.

Just got a voicemail from Delaware saying they need to give a statement and i am liable to be sued and to call that number... 5 mins later get a voicemail from Alabama telling me to call the same number and they can cut my debt 70% ! LOL Think i'll answer next time and give them a piece of my mind

Received a call from a Restricted number from "Donna Hagen" from the Montgomery County Investigation Bureau (OH).  She stated a claim was being filed against me and she was calling to give me a chance to clear it up before being served a subpoena.  "Donna" asked me if I know what "ProSource" was.  When I replied No, she said they had filed a claim against me and gave me the 866-680-8935 number along with a 6-digit claim number.  I was told I needed to call ProSource to get further details of the case.  I called the "866" number, gave them the claim number and was put on hold for over 5 minutes.  I hung up and tried calling again the following morning.  At that time, "ProSource" had transferred me to a case worker whose voicemail could not accept any more voice mails.  After seeing the comments above, this "case" is closed.

I just got a call from this number stating I have documents is this true and should I be worried about them coming to my place of employment?

I wish someone who answer if this is a spam or not due to receiving ge call again stating they are gunna try in the morning to my place of residence
