I had this problem, one of my kids and a friend of hers thought they could wear costume jewlery in the store, a bracelet marked 4.80    They never walked out of the store with it and i do not know if they ever would have and neither does the store clerk but he stopped them anyway. called me down to the store and we had this big long talk about how shoplifting is a crime and all that, even though we established that the girls did not ever leave the store and they denied ( and still do to this day ) that they were going to.    so teh store clerk took our address and phone and we left. nothing else was done, no police or anything like that at all.    2 weeks later I get a phone call stating we owe 250.00 in damages and costs for security for "OUR shoplifting incident".  K so i explain the storey to the guy and he unsympathetic and says tha it must be paid and I can pay in payments if I like.    so Me, Liek a dummy, aggreed to pay in payments to avoid going to court.    I paid 50.00 with mmy crad over the phone.    My billing statemnt online says 63.50 though.   so I call this guy back and aske wth is going on?   he says there are "Covienence charges".  So I said there is no way that can happen like that and he Laughed at me and said that i should tell that storey to my lovely little shoplifter.   NO KIDDING.. then he went on to say later that if I were a good parent to begin with that none of this would have ever happened !!!!     I was getting very mad at this point as you can imagine and I ended up hanging up on the S.O.B.  No Lawyer has any right to talk to me in this manner and no person on earth has teh right to be bad mouthing my children, so I just sat down and started looking stuff up on this company and it turns out they are a company, officially a law form but they are the bottom feeders and they just do THIS one thing to get money and they do it so poorley and unethically that it takes about 20 seconds for a novice to look up the complaints.

  here is the part I wanted to tell you about.     I was so mad, i not only decided I was an idiot for paying anything at all, i decided not to pay them any more at all, and then I went to my bank and filed a charge back on my card and got every cent back..     1.5 years has gone by and they are still calling with an automated service, nothing else has ever been done.       I just changed my number about 5 min ago and I was borde and decided to look this up again to see what has been going on for the last 1.5 years online. LOL   Looks like the same old crap.       anyway, there is no way they can call me now and they do not have my address and never will so   Good Riddence i say.      

 I noticed that some people say that if you start paying them they will squeeze you for every dime they can get.   Also - if you were to pay the full amount, you will never get a certificat stating you are exempt from suit, EVER,   also!!!   they sometimes make up new fees and keep calling!!!!     I am not kidding, every dime they can get.

Why isnt anything being done about the various complaints regarding P, R & assoc.? can a law firm in florida sue a parent of  a teenager, even though they settled the charges against the teen, sealed the court records etc? The parents weren't prosecuted in court, so how can they sue them? if your home state is elsewhere how can Palmer & assoc. come after you? are they going to go to your state by airplane to sue for a few hundred dollars? dont they have to practice in your state? any advise? can they be reported to the bar? can you sue them for harassment?

Thank Gos I'm not alone. 4 months passed since the last letter and going!

I keep getting calls from this company about reporting a claims or paying a for something. I am really tired of it and would like it to stop because the name of the guy is not my name. They are calling for someone named Mac and I don't know who that is.

This man keeps calling and asking for Mikey.

Mikey can't come to the phone - too busy eating 'Life' cereal.
