- Enough AlreadyThese idiots are scamming people...If it is legit, where are the big name financial institutions at? Why are so many people calling them out for the scam? Too many questions and not enough answers.

Keep calling me annoying - AshleyThis is a scam. They ahve called me from 2 different 866 numbers as well as making it look like they had a local number to my cell phone number. It is a man named Jason Kane that calls me every time. It is from a place that I had a loan from, but had paid off. These places sell your information to places like this 866 number that scam you.
I don't believe any of these. - Be Very CarefulAny legitimate fraud detection operation will NOT:
1) Try the get any information from you (they already know everything about you)
2) Appear on this site with so many people saying they are a scam
3) Present themselves with a generic name (there are thousands of credit unions)- Caller: scam
- Elenna replies to jimIt's NOT Legit!! You must work for them....It's a SCAM
- SharonThis number is legitimate. I checked with the BarclayCard people, who confirmed that it was the number of the fraud protection unit of the credit card company. I had gotten a cash advance on my card, something I don't usually do, so the card company put a hold on the card and tried to contact me at my home landline number to see if the transaction was legitimate. Unfortunately, I was still out when the unit called, and my next stop was a Dunkin Donuts, where I ordered an egg and cheese bagel and a small mocha latte, for a total of about six dollars. The card was declined because of the hold. I was shocked and embarrassed; luckily, I had another card. When I went home, I got the voicemail, verified with the card company that the call phone number was legitimate, contacted the unit, explained things, and had the hold released. While I'm glad that the card company is vigilant about possible fraud, I think it needs to refine its software so that people making good faith transactions don't wind up embarrassed by getting their card declined for a legitimate purchase

This could be part of INDIA MAFIA CALL CENTER FRAUD - just stop no one likes youGot a call this afternoon, automated message stating it wanted to verify purchases made from our business owner. Had the name right, gave me prompts to confirm purchases. I hung up. The owner is in another state though so it could be a legit call but I doubt it. Either way, BLOCKED! CID 'AMERICAN EXP'

- ShannonIt IS a legit number that a lot of banks/credit unions seem to use for their fraud prevention. However, I would still not answer/hang up and call back, as numbers can be spoofed.
And also, I'm here now because this number (which is in my contacts) just popped up as a new user on Snapchat.... That's suspicious....
