- ParagelloWhen I responded to a phone message from AppStar, the customer service personnel were abrasive, then rude, then pushy and obnoxious about ending all connections with their company. AppStar should NOT be trusted as a company with any real measure of integrity or professionalism.

- 866-395-5829Caller ID shows Abstar Financial. Asks to speak to company owner, refuses to give any information about the nature of the call, starts harassing you if you request to be removed from there calling list. Very rude. No way to actually speak to a person to complain or comment on the behavior of the caller.
- sshas far as i can tell these are a bunch of scammers. have told them twice now to stop calling. ignorant, rude people

- JMoss replies to KRP| 2 repliesHey, good call on the Liebowitz character. However, I had gotten a message from an Ann Liebowitz instead. She messaged me because she saw my resume online and thought I had the qualifications that they are looking for. Reluctant to reply, I decided to do some background investigation for myself and came across this site and your response. Thanks for letting me know what kind of company they are before I even bothered to return her call about an opportunity.
- JMoss replies to JenniferOh, so they are playing two sides of the fence. Meaning looking for employees and clients, er should I say victims. I had just gotten an e-mail about an opportunity with their company only moments ago. As I had said earlier, something just didn't feel right about them so I began to look them up online and lo and behold.
- staff| 6 repliesCall came in from someone who said his name was Hayward from Abastar Financial. Asked to speak with Dr. or office mananger. When told they were not available he responded NOT AVAILABLE and was told not available and not interested. He proceeded to rant "how do you know they are not intersted do you make that decision who do you think you are you don't know and on and on and on and then hung up on staff member. Rude and ridiculous. We will be reporting this company.

- Indifferent replies to merchant| 3 repliesIf you are going to accuse a company of being a scam, at least get the spelling right so it looks like you actually know something about the company whose reputation you are attacking.
BTW, no I don't work for Appstar. I actually work with one of their competitors, Crescent Proc. Co. I have signed up a handful of Appstar's clients with better programs.
I just don't appreciate how much unjustified mudslinging is done in forums like this. - Indifferent replies to ddpeteYou know, rather than going through all of the that business, you could just let them set an appointment with you and then meet their rep face to face. Give him about 2 minutes of your "valuable" time and then ask him to leave. That way, you are not just being another "phone commando"
- doc replies to JMoss| 1 replyI got a similar from someone seeing my resume online...from Karen Lebowitz. Must be a big family. ;)
- Ed replies to staff| 5 repliesI work for Appstar. I depend on telemarketers for my appointments. I am saddened to hear of their rudeness. I don't believe this is how they all are since I ask my appointments of their experience with the telemarketer. Appstar is a very fine credit processing company. When we discover a rude telemarketer, we report them and they are dealt with. My clients are very happy with the service we give them in Central IL.
One person suggested they set an appointment and then give the salesman 2 minutes and ask him to leave. PLEASE don't do this. The telemarketer is paid for the appointment than I or another salesman goes to the appointment, at our own cost, and finds a very unhappy business owner.
80% of the time we can save a business money on credit card processing. That is all we want to do. If the telemarketer is rude, just hang up. Be kind to them and most of the time they will be kind in return. There is no reason to be hostile even if the telemarketer is rude.
You have the email of the owner of the company in this listing.
Send him an email if you have had a rude caller and do attempt to get his name. EVERY TELEMARKETING CALL IS RECORDED. - telemarketers-r-scum replies to EdThanks for the tip. Getting you clowns into the office for 2 minutes then kicking you out sounds like a GREAT IDEA! Even better, make them wait for 10 or 15 minutes, then kick them out, saves time for the honest business people who have to put up with these scams.
If you had such a great deal, you wouldn't have to use such slimy marketing tactics. It stinks like the FILTHY SCAM it is.
Hey, "Ed", write us when you get HONEST work -- that way we won't ever have to hear from you again. - c2348756| 1 replyThis is the company info that has been harassing us:

- g1r2b3 replies to IndifferentWell, if I had ever seen the name in writing before I would have known how to spell it. When someone calls with a mush-mouth voice and you have to ask 3 times who they are with, you're lucky if you come up with something even close! I'm sick of people "working" so hard to rip honest people off!
- betcha replies to Edbetcha you don't work there anymore

- A Sales Person| 2 repliesTo all the business owners, I don't understand how you could be in business and make your living selling to others but will not allow another salesperson to present to you. You're not that busy and you're not that important, if your customers were to treat you the same way you wouldn't have a business, so be thankful and give another man a chance you never know what you may find.
To all the gate keepers, your job is to answer the DAMN phone and transfer the DAMN call. It's not your business who I am or what I want. Stop trying to be a hero or get the employee of the month, answer the DAMN phone and transfer the DAMN call.
