I have had my identity stolen and I am trying to deal with that when I had a neighbor come over and claim that this Hanna person was looking for me.  I thought "What the hell are they calling the neighbors for!"   They claim I owe Bank of America money.......well if I owe them money I will deal with BOA directly!  After reading all these other comments about them I am very glad I did not give them a call back!

Got a call from this number and googled. Wow,I'm a little shocked. I do owe money to BOA but I pay them directly. Glad I found this info.

A guy named Cory Drysdale from the Law Offices of J. Hanna and Associates.   The person who had the phone number before must have owed a lot of money to somebody, so I suspect the phone number 866-811-1159 are debt collectors.

First, I wanted to thank everyone who has posted on this site for helping me and countless others.  I have received 3 calls from this "law firm" in the past 4 days.  Today's message was different.  The person said his name was Fred Hanna and he didn't know what I was trying to accomplish by screening my calls and was only making things worse for myself.  I work for a credit score improvement company and would like to encourage everyone to read one thing before ever speaking to these clowns or any collection agency.  The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (can be found online) governs collection agencies and holds them to very strict guidelines.  Every fine against them can be worth up to $1,500.  http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.htm

Got a call and was going to let the answering machine pick it up, well they hung up. I called the number back and talked to someone from this lawyer firm. He could not find my number in their database, name or my wife's name nor a sister that has passed on last Nov. 2006, that I continue to get calls on that passed. I told them if they were truly a law firm they ought to leave a message and not to hang up again when someone has an answering service. Now that I have checked the computer I see more of what is going on with this number.

The exact same thing happened to me.  Is it really a scam?

I received a call from Fred Hanna concerning my bad debts.  Yeah, I'm homeless and have been arrested a few times.  But I am trying to get my act together.  I live in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago in a shelter.
I know I will be dead or in prison within a few years if I don't get off the streets.  But they shouldn't be going after me right now!

A Miss Taylor kept calling my mother's house asking for me. I finally called them back and they said that I owe Bank of America. First I spoke with a Keisha. Then Miss Taylor called me back the next day who put a Brian on the phone. Brian proceeded to verbally abuse me about owing on an old credit card. I was then called by a Victor Valley who also proceeded to verbally abuse. He told me that I was going to hate myself for not paying him how he wanted. He said that they would subpoena me or garnish my wages. I am definitely going to report to the BBB.

Someone has been calling us for weeks sometimes 3 to 4 times a day but because I dont know who it is we never answer, and they never left any messages. Finally a guy named Bernie Dickens or Dickenson left a message regarding some file number. The following day my wife called and immediately got harrassed about owing B Of A $12000 for a "Selective Days" credit card or line of credit? Of course my wife has never gotten any kind of account with BofA. This guy was very rude and my wife is 7 month pregnant and started having problems breathing finally after she was so upset she handed me her phone and I was furious and said who the f*** is this and to stop harrassing us. We read about this [***] company and checked her credit report. It has nothing on it. They said they were going to sue us. What do we do? We can't afford any "real" lawyer to fight them if they do go after us? What can we do?

Didnt answer the 866-811-1159 call, then googled the number. WOW, glad I didnt answer. I want to call them back and harass them now. I've never had any dealings with BoA that I know of.
Just wanted to post I got my first call from this number, no message was left.

Call the Georgia State Bar Association at 1(800) 334-6865 and report these people. Also, call the Better Business Bureau in Atlanta. These guys are scam artists. Do it immediately or they won't stop.

Yep, that Christine person calls here looking for a friend of mine who is living with us who's unemployed.  Well, there's no BofA in this area and her only debt is a student loan (which she is dealing with directly through her school and the original lending co.), so it would have to be bogus.  She has no money and no credit anyway.

David and Lynn: If their call affected your wife that severely, you could have really good grounds for a harrassment case (emotional trauma=big bucks in legal awards, frequently).  Initial consultations with most lawyers are free, and if one decides you have a case, it's likely you wouldn't have to pay squat until/unless you win.  Try to get some medical verification by a 3rd party (like your wife's doctor).  Just an idea.

Got a call from deveral different men saying they were from J.Hanna and Assoc. They call, me and my family members in other states. They have left me messages stating they will arrest me, put me in jail and take everything I own to collect this debt. This is not legal and must be stopped now.

Yup, I got the same phone call.  Its strange because no one calls me on this phone and only a few people have this number.

I got a message from someone who said she was Grace Jenkins from the law office of Richard J. Hanna (or Hannas).  She did not say who she was calling for or why she was calling but asked us to call her back at 866-811-1159.  I am glad I Googled the number first.  I won't be calling them back and hopefully we won't get another call.  We don't have any debts that have been referred to a collection agency.

I received a message from 866-811-1159. The woman on the phone identified herself as Ms. Scaglione with Frederick J. Hanna & Associates. In the message, she simply stated that she needed to speak with me.

Called my mother in law telling her that He was an attorney that had helped me with something in the past and was trying to reconnect. Told her that I had listed her as a reference. My M/in law gave him my number.

I do in fact owe Bank of America money, and the person calling from this number said he was calling in regards to that debt. He also mentioned a letter that I never received and a false statement that I had supposedly refused payment. I remember a different operator calling on their behalf trying to trick me into saying I 'refused payment' when in fact I had said I intend to pay.
This guy brought me to tears. He insulted me and told me to borrow the money from family members. I feel horrible. I googled the number to try and track this agency down because I feel like it just isn't right for them to harass people in that way.

Call from rude and very abrupt guy asking for Irving somebody, name I never heard of, I said wrong number, sorry, he said he "just got it from the phone company", I said I have no idea who you're calling for, he kept saying "he's not there? I got this # from the phone Co." and I kept repeating you have a wrong #. Then he "verified" the # w/o area code, so I asked what area code are you calling? and he gave the correct area code, so I said that's it but I never heard the name, so then he wanted to know how long I had the # and I said 25 years! A*shole, I could tell there was something fishy so I immediately looked the # up, since I just talked my mom into finally getting caller ID. They block their name too. This is the first call. Nobody here has any outstanding debt. I immediately added this # to the National Do Not Call Registry (it was put on 3 years ago!) and called them back, told the guy that answered that I just got a call from them, that I'm on the do not call reg. and to remove my # please. He said he'd take it off the lists. We'll see. If these MFs call and wake somebody up, I'll send them some dog sh*t in the mail, the [***]!

Left me a message, saying I was to call or have my lawyer call them. I'm thinking this is crazy, as I had no beefs with anyone that I would need a lawyer,  so googgled the  number as well. This website is what I found and I will ignore the call and report them. only collection agency I know of is one that was given a debt to collect earlier this year, but I paid the company direct before they had a chance to call me so I refused to pay them too. They have been pests ever since.
