These people are terrorists, because they want steal your credit card info and throw a virus on your computer. They are out right evil people and need to be dealt with immediately. Maybe a shotgun to their head would be appropriate. I am turning this number into the
FBI.
I am so tired of these people they are an off shoot of the illegal IYogi company that scammed thousands of people.

Said someone was trying to get into my microsoft account. Several calls from 866-853-5938 abd a few from unknown following is quick succession

Just got a robocall saying they were Microsoft and that our acct was being hacked from outside the country and that we should call 866 853 5938 or Microsoft would close the account.

I hung up on the automated call.

Claimed to be from Microsoft and someone was trying to access my account from outside the US>

These people  have been calling a few times a day. Finally picked up and an Indian named Sam (it's the same person calling using multiple names) told me my Windows was broken. Told Sam I had given them my address multiple times, but no one has shown up to fix my windows. Took him a while but he realized  the joke, called me some names and hung up. Have gotten family and friends to block their numbers and call the number back. also gave them a link to Indian swear words to use on them and that made him lose it. I blocked the number, but still call Sam back to bug him a few times a week. Haven't seen this number for a few weeks on my call display

This number has called 5 times claiming to be Microsoft stating they are shutting our acct down due to suspected hacking.

I had the same phone call that everry body conplaings about and they told me the same thing as all,i just said thankyou and hanged up,,,

automated voice said they were calling about my microsoft account and that someone had was trying to access it from out of the country and i needed to call them back to resolve.  they called a lot of times in a two day period but never left a message and today i finally answers and heard that message.

Recev’d multiple calls from this#(866-853-5938); East Indian accent/knew my wife’s name,called me on my phone(we have very different#s)/ I busted him, hung up, & he has repeatedly called back...same story as others here! Microsoft,etc...but, WeR all Apple.

I have had 5 calls today from 1-866-853-5938, I answered one time and the fast paced automatic voice said that someone was trying to gain access to my Microsoft account from out if the country and they are blocking it. They keep calling and don't leave messages.

Got a call answered it, yep same thing that they are from Microsoft. I replied with a fantastic can you help with the software issue I have with Excel as I tried to explain the non existing issue they hung up. I can't understand why people like that don't put the time they have to good use. But I guess in the end some person falls for the BS and gets hosed.

I got 5 calls from this number on my work phone yesterday evening. No messages left, and the caller ID just showed the number.

Constant calls..not answering.  Glad I read these reports.  I get the same message.  Are they trying to take over the computer using remote access?

if you go to your computer and give their support team remote access to your computer to supposedly fix something that would be where they are going to hack your private records.

Multiple calls per day.  Tried to call back blocking my caller ID, but the call won't go through.  Finally called and asked what it was about.  Foreign individual said my Microsoft server was sending out viruses and they needed to stop it.  Wanted to know if I was at my computer.  I said I didn't have any Microsoft servers running and they asked if I had a computer connected to the Internet.  And I needed to call them when I was in my office.  I asked to be removed from their call list, which he said they would do.  I've gotten 3 more calls since then.

Idian accent, said someone overseas was trying to hack my microsoft account.

I see on my CID that Microsoft called today, but get this... they didn't even leave a message!  So i guess it wasn't really that important.

This is the first time the scammers have been so audacious as to have actually left the name "Microsoft" in the caller ID field.  I have no relationship of any kind with Microsoft, and the real Microsoft has stated repeatedly that they will *never* make a cold call.

Beware of this scam!  Do *not* give them any information of any kind.  If you pick up or call back, the scammers will know someone is home at that time and they will call back repeatedly.
