fake call from microsoft tech support stating my account from microsoft would be shut down because someone was trying ti access it

Oh NO !!!!!!! - Microsoft Tech Support has been calling daily and leaving ROBO messages.  Someone was trying to access my Microsoft account from out of country (Oh my)  and they were shutting my account down for my protection.  Call them back to turn it back on.    But yet my account is still active,                              SCAMMMMMMMMMMM

I just received the same call. Said that someone from out of the country is trying to access my account.  I hung up the phone. The number was 866 853 5939  caller i.d. read: Microsofttechsu

They said my Microsoft was being hacked.

They have called our office twice today. We do not have a Microsoft account. When I called back, they hung up. This is definitely a spam call.

I have rec'd 3 calls from this number today, 6 calls yesterday. They say they are with Microsoft.

Same thing is happening to me. 4 calls so far today. I did call back, someone was trying to hack my computer from China.

I was called several times a day for many days by this number. At first I thought it might be a job opportunity, so I called them back. A man with a heavy Indian accent said the number was for Microsoft support. I asked him why he's been calling me. He said I had been receiving automated calls because my account was connected to their system and it had detected someone else potentially using my account.
I sat down in front of my computer and followed his directions to go to some weird and fake looking website. I entered my first name and a pin he read aloud to me. This caused an executable file to download onto my machine. At that moment I told him I didn't understand why I was being called, that my computer was fine and that I didn't trust him.
I asked him to never call me again, deleted the file and hung up.

Highly recommend that you run anti-virus software on your computer ASAP, just deleting that file won't be enough. You very likely downloaded a virus or other malware.

Received 3 calls from 866-853-5938 } did not answer left no voice message  > call was from microsoft tech >>> scam call repeat scam call.  Do not, repeat do not answer or call back as they will want to obtain your personal and financial information.
