- Ron| 3 repliesSame as all. Texted me and I called AT&T right away. They already billed my account. AT&T was great. They stopped it, credited my bill and put a purchase code on so this will not happen again. Very fast turn around as I am sure they are getting lots and lots from these jerks. We should all send messages to Attorney Generals office in there respective city.

- Kim G replies to Ron| 2 repliesHi, I just received this MobibrolQ fun facts text today. I immediately called AT&T and they were very good about reversing the charges and added the parental block so that these unsolicited texts will be rejected. This stuff is frustrating, time consuming, and I know someone mentioned contacting a consumer reporting agency. Contacting the FTC may be an option. Had AT&T not been helpful, I would have pursued another avenue.
- Kim G replies to Kim G| 1 replyAlso, the number listed on the text I received from MobibrolQ is (888) 890-6150. Perhaps the negative reporting is forcing them to change numbers. We are very conscientious about what we sign up for and we have no idea how they got our number.
- Kim G replies to Kim GI just filed a complaint about this purported company with the FTC. It took roughly 7-10 min to fill out the online form. Highly recommend more people do this as strength often comes in numbers. I was already on the do not call list as well, so it appears they are in violation of this too. Good luck all.
- Mel MI called AT&T right away and they refunded the $9.99 immediately and added a free purchase blocker to my account. For anyone that did not receive help - try calling them again. This was a pain in the @ss but at least I'm not paying $10 for unsolicited messages. I'm guessing they are getting flooded with these calls!

- Ayden WHello All,
I stumbled upon this message board because I was getting texts from these random numbers every few days. I didn't think much of it because I never subscribe to anything besides Netflix and vimeo, but never anything on my cell phone. Basically, until today all I would do with the nonsense texts is submit a claim on the National Do-Not-Call registry (as if that does anything really...) and then call it a day.
But today, I receive this text from MobilbroIQ (MEGA JERKS) and they mention something about billing me 9.99. So, I arrive here to this board and decide I need to call AT&T.
So I call them and this super nice woman helps me get all the charges refunded and blocks the number, but then she says something about how she wants to see how far back the charges go and they go back a full year... A FULL YEAR of paying $10 for nothing at all.
Moral of the story, this is NO JOKE. If you get an unsolicited text, immediately forward that text to 7726 (for ATT users) and then call AT&T. I assure you this is a real problem.- Caller: 584-97 MobilbroIQ Fun Facts

- BradI received a text from these cons today. I called AT&T and found that I had been charged for 3 months. AT&T credited the charges to my account and placed a block to eliminate the threat of this reoccurring in the future.

- Ernie replies to Shannon| 1 replyYou can block these kind of Direct Bill things by going to www.att.com/DB. I had messages from this bunch this morning. CAlled ATT and discovered I had indeed been billed after texting "stop". The att rep took care of it and I will be refunded. But in the process of getting this taken care of the rep gave me the above web address to stop these kind of things.
www.att.com/DB - CIGARTOMTHEY CHARGED ME ANYWAY AFTER I TEXED, STOP. AT&T VERY HELPFUL. THE CHARGED IT BACK AND I PUT BLOCK ON THE PHONE. THIS WAS A TEX MESSAGE. I ALSO CALLED THE 1-888-890-6150, LET IT RING OVER 45 MINUTES, ALL OPERATORS ARE PRESENTLY BUSY; THEN MESSAGE SAID THEY WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

Bullroarer/Mobile Media is a complete scam.
They attach themselves to your account and withdraw money without your consent.
A COMPLETE & UTTER RIPOFF!- Caller: Bullroarer/Mobile Media
- Another VictimWas on for 5 months, and didn't notice the $9.99 charges coming in. AT&T's policy was to only refund up to 60 days, but a manager was able to credit back all that mlbox.com took.
This is a complete scam, they just decided to start charging me out of nowhere. I hope they get sued.- Caller: MoblMedProdUS

- PopCALL YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER!
Have been getting these messages for about three months now. No idea how they got my number, I use my Google Voice number for everything. Either way I figured it was spam and just a minor annoyance until today when I realized I have been getting charged $9.99 a month.
Called AT&T and asked them to refund the charges and put "purchase blocker" on all of my family' lines. The rep was very helpful and without question refunded the charges and placed the blocker on all of our lines. The rep stated that the refund would show up in about four hours and purchase blocker would be active in about 90 minutes.- Caller: MOBIBROIQ

- lizconno replies to ErnieWhen I visit that site (att.com/DB) it only SHOWS what charges I've been charged. It doesn't give me the option to stop them.
- AaronJust got two messages last night from mobibrolq. Will call AT&T.
"Guess What? The reason why flamingos are pink is because they eat shrimp which have a red pigment. For HELP call 18888906150"
"MobibrolQ Fun Facts has billed @ $9.99/mo. Reply HELP for help, Reply STOP to cancel. Msg&Data Rates May Apply."- Caller: 18888906150
- Ron replies to ShannonHere is the latest deal with this crap. I had the same MobibrolQ fun facts text and just ignored them thinking they would go away. NOT SO AS THE CHARGES WILL APPEAR IF YOU TAKE NO ACTION!.
I went to the AT&T website noted below (www.att.com/DB) and researched the parental control "options". That is a free service that blocks any and all direct bill charges to your account.
I was able to review account charges and found that since January I have been billed for three monthly services that were not authorized in the amount of $9.99, $14.95 and $19.95 plus tax.
I then called AT&T (611) and explained this scam and that I wanted a full refund and to put the "BLOCK DIRECT BILL" feature on my account. They would only refund $64.68 as charges over 60 days are non refundable. (why you should act immediately)
The agent took care of everything and within 10 seconds after the direct bill block was activated I received another text from "MOBIBROLQ confirming that I have discontinued service and will no longer receive messages or charges for this service" (what service other than a notice that I am being ripped off).
It also gave a phone number to call for help of 1-888-890-6150 and I did get an answer.
The operator heard my story and said that he was just a customer service rep and had no idea who MobibrolQ is or where they are located. I told him to expect more calls and to barricade the door in his office. Whoever pocketed the $105 I lost is obviously making millions from this scam on the backs of AT&T customers ! Welcome to the digital age ! - LauraThis just happened to me as well. Called 611 to get AT&T and found out that 3 of our 4 family lines were being charged. They put a block on our acct for these types of charges and refunded for last 60 days.$39.96. What a pain to have to deal with, but ATT was very helpful.

- Gingergirl1120I get a text at 12am, when I am sleeping, stating I can go to a site to get these brain cool facts. Then it is followed by a stupid fact I never asked to receive and said to text stop to end the text messages. When I awoke at 5am I immediately text stop and the messages stopped, however, the company still charged me the $9.99 on my cell phone bill. I called their company customer service immediately and directly to resolve the issue, they said they would send me a refund check, which never came. I then contacted my cell phone carrier who did credit the $ back to me. I don't understand how this practice can't be illegal it is criminal they are stealing money from people by charging for a service consumers never asked for in hope that people will be ignorant. I also filed a complaint with the BBB.
