I have blocked number & they r still leaving messages. How can this be stopped

If you block the number they will call on another number, They usually have 5 or 6 different numbers to try and get you to answer. The trick is every time they call, log the number on your phone as cbcc, and block it. When they call on another number google the number, someone on the internet will already have logged the number and you can put it in your phone as cbcc2 and block that one as well. If you change your number they will still find you, as cell phone companies sell their numbers for a profit. So use that brain between your ears and get creative.

So how did they get your banking information??????????

The CBCC are know to call on these numbers so block them all.

I'm going to start answering and being so obscene that they may not want to call back. Hope they make good money for the reverse harassment they are about to receive.

If she had a credit card with the bank CBCC would have got her banking information from the bank. If she calls the bank to complain or get some details on the garnishment they'll just refer her to the collector that has the debt. Because CBCC has the debt now the bank won't work with you or offer you much help. When you call CBCC they'll try and set up a payment plan for you that will be completely unreasonable if the debt is large enough. Plus they'll ask you where you're working if your bank didn't have the most updated place of work on file when the debt went to collections. Your better off only calling them back if you have the money or close to the amount owed because they'll offer you a settlement thats around 80% of what you owe give or take.

You can always close your accounts with that banks and go to a different one. The next bank can't  stop you from opening an account with them. Obviously you wouldn't tell the next bank the real reason why you want to open an account with them. The problem might be if you have an investment with the bank. You'll have to cash that out and take your lose on it in  taxes because if you try to transfer it it'll take up to 2 months to get it completed. By then they'll have seized that too because they need to take as much from you as possible before all your assets are moved from that bank.

How many phone numbers do these guys have??? About 10 years ago had cc debt.. now, started to get new credit cards again and these guys come out of nowhere calling me from FOUR different numbers in TWO weeks to tell me my account up for review...Yeah TEN YEARS later!!! Eff off! U ain't getting a dime from me!!!

Credit Bureau of Canada left an evening message on my cell (!) "on behalf of CIBC". "Very important" I should call asap. I've blocked the caller. I have had nothing to do with CIBC for at least 16 years, and don't owe money.

CIBC COLLECTIONS  left message late at night. Searching for someone that worked for me over 15 years ago. They wanted my number which I wouldnt give them, just told them to use google to weed out the [***].

This is not CIBC bank but a debt collection agency

Bonnie is a bill collector and a liar. They can not legally do that

I think i'm going to do what someone suggested...have their calls forwarded back to them when they call me..so that when they call, it just rings back to them... enough already! Calling for debt that's like 9 years old... give them a taste of their own medicine.. I have new line of credit with credit card companies...seems as though these "f*@cksters" want back in.. not an option!.. Ummm I know the collection laws..
