Just keep in mind that YOUR number will be showing up on their caller ID. Not a smart idea, engaging the scammers. Playing their game by their rules on their turf you'll never win. At the very least you'll get more calls. Or they could "swat" (look up swatting) you. They also could start using your number as a spoofed number when they scam call other people. Wouldn't that be fun? Keep in mind they feel they have nothing to loose. Just do not answer unknown calls and do not call them back. Also *67 does not work on toll free numbers like 866.

Bottom rung collection agency trying to collect on old debts long since written off. Mine is from 1997!! Have long since reestablished credit and this debt does not even show on my credit report. These losers call daily. Just block them. They can't collect. Ontario has a 2 yr limit. The original company will never even see a dime if you did pay. They wrote them off years ago. Ignore.

Uncouth debt collector that buys up defunct old debts in an attempt to strong arm people into paying for debts that are not legally able to be collected.  In my particular call this morning for "... an important business matter" they were representing CIBC.  They also troll these on-line forums and post.  Any Corporate entity that permits their associates to go on-line and represent them, using their corporate name, and make tactless and uncouth comments easily conveys the true scope of their professionalism and corporate integrity -- a definite warning sign for future involvement and future business clients seeking their "professional" services.

Thank you braker, I actually heard it was 6 years and 1 day that they are no longer able to collect provided you haven't paid anything or been in any contact with them within the said time frame..7 years or which ever

Statute of limitations are 2 years in Ontario, 7 years is the time in which it doesn't affect your credit score anymore.

Sue was here over 2 years ago and is never going to see your reply.
I wonder, did this number call you? Is that why you're in this thread? If they did, why don't you post YOUR experiience with the caller instead of replying to an old post?
