- Ricky Jain| 1 replyThey called me up and repeated the same story saying I would get $1000 from them free and then asked for my bank account number. Unfortunately I gave them the number and now I have been cheated. They have already taken $167 from my account and I do not know what to do and how to get my money back. I called them but they said that the information which they have sent in the first packet says that the product is non-refundable and that the order is assumed to have been placed if it is not cancelled within 10 days of call.

- mrswojo replies to Kelel| 1 replyMy daughter has been receiving calls from 800-888-7890. Fortunately, because she doesn't recognize the number, she has not been answering the calls.
Make sure you register your phone number on the Do Not Call List. Then if the calls continue after 31 days, file a complaint with the FTC. You can google 'do not call list' and find all of the necessary links.
Maybe if enough of us file complaints, the FTC will do something. - mrswojo replies to sowolNever, never, NEVER give your personal information out over the phone or e-mail. Companies that you do business with will NEVER ask you for this information--they already have it when you applied for an account. DUH!
You would think in today's world with all the information out there on identity theft people would be wary of anyone claiming anything to get your personal information. Safeguard it at all costs! - mrswojo replies to charlomacIf it's too good to be true...it probably is!
I'm surprised at how many people will 'sell' their personal bank information for $1.95. Think about it. The trips the company is offering cost a lot more than $1.95. What are they really after? YOUR PERSONAL BANK INFORMATION! If any of you gave out this information, notify the bank immediately and close the account. Monitor your credit report. You asking for trouble if you don't.
In the day and age of identity theft, unless you live under a rock, should know to NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give out personal/financial data. - rondaballs to apex

- DKJ Enterprise replies to NikTo answer your question of how this bogus company got your address and other info all you have to do is GOOGLE your phone number. Your name address even a map to your house will show up. Try it for yourself. Just put in your 10 digit phone number into the search block and presto, there you are. Now request GOOGLE to remove you from thier data base.
- Darrel| 1 replyMy wife got this phone call from a Mark with a heavy middle Eastern Accent. We are on the "do not call" list but he call the cell phone. (not on the list) He was presistant and rude. Tried to get our bank information. Asked her for $1.99 and everything. My wife hung up. She called me, told me all of the information and I found this sight. Question? Does the US Attorney or the FBI know about this? This sounds like an international scam to me.

- Caller replies to KelelI just got the call from the same "company" and they wanted my own bank information. They gave me also another number 1-866-391-5769 and they called from number 1-800-888-7890
The caller identified himself as "Alec Jordan" working for APEX "fortune 500 company" - dunderwoodindyDecember 14th 2007 WARNING
Same call as all of you received, mid eastern accent wanting my bank account number, said no, he would not quit telling me how safe and secure this was, TRUST ME NEVER EVER give anyone so much as the name of your bank when you get a call like this.I immediately checked this number 1-866-501-8966 on google (while talking to him)and found this site. Then he gave me totally different information on their location and I finally explained to this person DAVID SOLOMAN Employee ID #5061 that I was sitting there reading all of the info on this number and their company and his story then changed. There is nothing in this world for free except the air you breath. THESE PEOPLE ARE STRAIGHT UP SCAM ARTISTS. If I could track them down I would fly there and beat the living [***] out of them because there are people out here who have bought into all their lies and promises and have had their hard earned money taken from them. Needless to say I ended the call by asking him to return to his native country, and kiss my AMERICAN ass. Can you believe the guy had the balls to call me back ? I asked him for his account number and I would send him a voucher for a free ass whoopin, he finally gave up. Seems he didn't want to give out his information either HMMM imagine that. SCAM SCAM SCAM just hang up on them is my suggestion to all. PEACE- Caller: APEX Services

- Jerri| 2 repliesI too recieved a phone call from someone who percieved to speak very little english. I was told I had won a free digital camera and a vacation for two- then four people-anywhere in the United States. I was told he needed my checking account number to get a dollar and ninety-five ($1.95) out of my account. When I refused to give him my account number, he then gave me this bogus address: Apex Towers
372- So. River Rd. Ste. #5
Las Vegas, NE 58902
He also gave me a phone number with too many digits. I had given him my correct name earlier in the conversation he started calling me Ashley (my niece name). I informed him that the conversatiion was being recorded-WHICH WAS-and he got extremely quiet.- Caller: APEX
- sdhilles replies to Jerri| 1 replyMy sons received the same type of call stating he won a 3day/2night vacation and asked for his BA info. He stated he authorized $1.98 for shipping. He went to his bank yesterday and the scam artist took out almost all money out of his account. PLEASE NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHO THEY ARE.
- bm| 4 repliesThe call is the same as the others. The guy said that I had won a trip, digital, camera, and three bonus offers that were completely free for a S/H of 1.95. I stupidly verified my info, the weird thing that should have tipped me off was that I gave them a wrong number, and they new it was wrong. Somehow they had already had my bank info. I was very freaked up about after I hung up, so I kept checking my banking online to see anything weird. Luckily, nothing was missing. What I suggest to do for anybody out there , besides the obvious of not giving info, is to quickly call your bank, tell them what happened. The bank will probably suggest to cancel your account and create a new one. It's worth the process!
