what you do is go to your bank, and file a fraud! Change bank account numbers as well.

i ALSO RECEIVED A CALL FROM APEX SVS. THE MAN WHO CALLED (WEIRD ACCENT) CALLED HIMSELF "LARRY" HE SAID I WON A TRIP AND A DIGITAL CAMERA JUST TO GIVE MY ACCT # TO VERIFICATION MANAGER AND VOILA FREE VACATION. WHEN TALKING TO MGR- SOUNDED LIKE A SCAM!!!! DONT DO IT!!

I would say about an hour ago, I got the same phone call. It was under private call. I thought it might been one of my friends calling to mess with me. So when I realize that it was a foreigner I was a little confused at first. Then he told me stuff about a free trip (which I could less about) and then he told me about a free camera. Well just a little fact about me I am studying Film/Video, so a free camera sounded wonderful to me. Then he ask me if I had any questions. I said no, because I was waiting for the catch. He sounded confused that I didn't have any questions. So then he ask me to get a pen and paper so I wrote down the name of company and the 866-901-8966 number and that they were from La Vegas.
After I did that he ask me if I had a checking account. (Like a dummy I said yes) Then he told me he would like to confirm it was me that he was speaking with. He knew my address which I thought was really weird. He told me that in order to send the camera that he needed 1.95 for s/h. Which I thought was also odd because just recently I sent a cup to my friend and it was a lot more than that.
Then he ask me for my rounting number and account number. I told him can I just give you the first 9 numbers and the check number and I will just send it out to you. He is said no because when they get the check the number need to match up. He kept asking, while I was thinking of an excuse to tell him. So I went online and just google the company. Then one of the random company pages I clicked on it said SCAM ALERT

And then I told him it was a scam, then he tried to re ensure me that it wasn't. So I told it was alright that he keep whatever. Then he is like what has change your mind? Then I told him I was busy. Then he mispronounce my name and said No, you not!

Then I just hung up. But I did give him the name of my bank. Then I called my bank and the ensure me that whomever called won't be able to do anything with my account. There should be a better way to have this out there to people, than just this website.
