I get calls from this number every 30 minutes and it is very annoying.  I can't stop it.  As with others, when I call back, I get a busy signal.  It rings only once to annoy me and IF I answer, there is no one there.

Interesting...when I call the number back I get NOTHING but a fast busy signal.  No one ever answers.

I don't answer, but that is not the issue...the issue is that the calls come every 30 minutes, ALL DAY LONG, including night time hours and it is VERY ANNOYING.  I am totally pissed over this.  I don't answer, have to put my phone on DO NOT DISTURB but that eliminates my ability to get calls I may need to receive.

Four pages of complaints!!  Wow!!
There are at least two options for those bothered by people originating these offensive calls:
1. Go to www.fcc.com and click on the electronic complaint form, filling out each of the entries (takes about two minutes), identifying the date and time of the unwanted call(s), any identifying  information from Caller ID ("Unavailable" is a valid entry), your number where the call was received and your name, street and email addresses.  The FCC will immediately respond with an email to you, identifying the file number assigned to your complaint.  If everyone filed these complaints to the FCC, that deluge will prompt an investigation and likely a fine on the calling party.
2. I followed a recommendation from a comment listed elsewhere on 800Notes, where that person was extremely frustrated over calls from a number different than 866-948-0585 (as the above folks obviously are) and purchased a DIGITONE Call Blocker from www.digitone.com   Three features attracted my interest: a) I now can block up to 80 specific telephone numbers, b) This device has "First Ring Supression." meaning that you will not even hear the first ring!!, c) you can block entire area codes, a feature that can be used to block all 800, 866, 877, etc. numbers or those from specific (not toll-free) numbers.  There may be other devices available, too.  I saw immediate success with the one I purchased.

Even so, I regularly report annoying/illegal/robo calls, etc. to the FCC.  Now that I also use the DIGITONE device these annoying calls have been greatly reduced in number.

Someone called from this number every hour yesterday from 2:30 p.m. up to 9 p.m.  My phone would ring one time only, then stop.  Used *69 to obtain number.  Called number back and just heard a clicking sound.  This needs to stop immediately!!

I'm on the do not call list and get more calls than before I was on it.

Answered. No one was there. Hung up. Called at 9:58am, Unavailable on the caller ID.

will the Federal Do-Not-Call bunch do something about this number!  I am elderly, ill and tired of getting up to answer the phone.

received call from this number and no one there....called back repeatedly with busy signal.  If anyone knows what horrid people are doing this please relate.  Husband very ill and I'm going through cancer treatment.  Am on "do not call list as well"

went to website and only way can file complaint is to give credit card number and charging $25....wth?

I got "missed" calls this morning on both my cell phones (both on the do-not-call list) from this number. I suspect they are medical debt collectors, since a bunch started when I refused to pay various medical bills supported by double-billing and altered medical records. Although I noticed that last winter the FTC at least started an action in California against one of these scam groups (robocalls from Heather and Rachel of card services by scammers that were shut down before under another alias), they have delegated enforcement of all medical debt related robocalls to HHS's Office of Civil Rights, which has done nothing. Yes, medical debt collectors are the biggest offenders by far, and harassment is part of their game plan. When I got one of these callers on the line a couple of years ago now, she insisted that so long as they only said they were the medical group, the FDCPA didn't apply to them. That particular Atlanta-based collection group with offices in several states (and phone numbers in many more) has been 'disciplined' before by the FTC with no effect--it's whack-a-mole, probably with their dnc-invalid robocall machines also renting themselves out for political work, both because its lucrative and gives them de-facto regulatory protection. Methinks that's why 800notes experienced a cyberattack after last year's election season.

Anyhow, here in Virginia, medical groups even claimed to our SCt in 2008 that as 'charities' they were immune from laws, including regulating their debt collection practices. That silly argument lost (the judges even noting lies about their noncollection rates), so apparently the physicians and insurance companies campaigned against the real judges (often using 'friendly' legislators), and by contract insist that complaining patients only have the right to use their secret pay-to-play paper-evidence only system. The current gov and ag brag about saving Virginia taxpayers money--apparently by not enforcing Virginia and federal laws since the 'healthcare' folk I'm dealing with insist Virginia is the state most favorable to them. Instead the state corporation commission allows insurers and their partner physicians to "self-regulate" and self-insure--including by altering medical records. My insurance company and another prominent medical group in this metro area advertise quality care, while at the same time inserting gag clauses into their contracts and advising patients that 'friendly' regulators allow their alteration practices, which IMHO is cheating but, as they say, "everybody does it". Not that Maryland does much better for its consumers as its AG/Ins Commission dance with the healthcare industry. Of course, everyone gets sick eventually, and I wonder if the healthcare industry disciplines what it chooses to see as its tormentors--like the late Justice Hassell....  Ordinary folk don't stand a chance when the deck's stacked.

Medical insurers and corporate-hidden providers and their debt collectors can play shell games all day. Healthcare today with both political parties is all about money--and no matter what the pres candidates say, both parties believe most in "don't ask, don't tell" about provider and insurer misconduct like these hangup calls.

Keeps calling fax machine and hangs up

Calls  numerous times.  Have even tried calling the number back and no one answers.  Will call several times a day.

Got a call from this number. No respond. Called back and no connection--just clicking! A real nuisance. Please stop calling my number which is registered with the National Do Not Call as well as my State Do Not Call.
