Got a call from this number on Thursday Sept 6th @ 612 PM. Answered the call on the 3rd ring and said "Hello" and there was already 'dead air' - like it had immediately disconnected right when I answered.

Just called and no one on the other end of the line. Was going to ask them to be put on their DO NOT CALL list. Won't answer again in the future based on all these negative comments!

This number and literally hundreds more call all the time.  We are inundated with telemarketers in my area.  The "do not call" list does not make much difference.  I have Brighthouse for phone service and they have call block.  If a call comes through, I add it to that list and they are blocked from calling.  That service is limited to the number of blocked calls so I bought a Digitone Call Blocker for about 90 bucks.  It blocks all unknown and no-name calls automatically.  If they do have a name or number associated with them, they may get through once, but simply block that number and they cannot use that one any longer.  It has cut down our unwanted calls by an estimated 97%.  There are simply so many that a couple get through.. once.. but at least it is nothing like it was.  No one will do anything for you including the government, you must be pro-active.  If it's bothersome enough as it was to my wife and I, it's worth the money to get a call blocker.

calls, then hangs up when I pickup the phone. This happens 2 to 3 times a day. Very annoing.

Same problem here as "Florida Pete" with unwanted phone calls.  Digitone blocked 13 calls yesterday from 866-948-0585 and 4 others.  Without Digitone my phone would be ringing every half hour.

everyday getting multiple calls.  Calls from this number, no one there.

I get calls from this number in the daytime. No one is on the other end when I answer. The caller ID says "Toll Free Call" only. I cannot add this number to my call block as it lacks an area code & does not block toll free calls.

I have no idea who this is. I wish it would stop.

Calls and hangs up, very annoying and it must stop. Please look into this as I have a private number!

It was XM. I too had daily calls for over two weeks before I gave up and answered. It does take awhile before they say anything on their end. Probably robo calling. I bought eqinox in July and have dealership, onRstar and these guys constantly.

Just got a call from the same number 1-866-948-0585. I am also on the do not call list. I just called back the number. It actually said thank you for calling use net sales and internet satelite provider. I have time warner cable. This is a crock and they need to stop calling.

Tip of ice berg (so to speak)  I get tons of calls with no person on the other end. Since we have no one in charge in our (so called) Government we must live with the "LOW LIFE" that can and do enter our homes day or night by the PISS POOR phone service we pay for.  No one can control and correct this type of abuse since we have no one in charge.  scum bag nation....

Yes, the government is part of the problem to be sure.

But an equally big problem is that very few people are willing to do anything other than complain about this telemarketing/privacy invasion.

It only takes a couple of minutes. Toomany people come to this site and rant and rave, putting dozens of exclamation marks at the end of every sentence. Why not spend that time filling out a complaint form with the FCC. You may think the government is just a bunch of scumbags, but they're the only ones we've got and we need to work with them. If they get enough complaints they will do something.
