- BillPhone rang twice, I picked up and said Hello 3 times, no answer..Finally I said this is the 4th time I said hello and now I am saying good bye....Very frustrating when no one answers. Tried calling back, and there is no response....
- LindaKeeps calling and when I answer, line is silent. Nobody ever speaks. My phone is on the "do not call" list, and I can't complain, because I don't know who is doing this, or what company it is.
- BillAlso added to Brighthouse block call list. Getting an awful lot of these different numbers!! Once they are on the block call list, I never hear from them again, though.
- sofladaWaited a little bit after answering and heard someone, live or on tape--couldn't tell the difference, say "live test one, live test two, live test three, live test four, live test five" and then the call disconnected. Attempted an immediate call back and got a quick busy signal.
- SunshinegmfI got this call today. My answering machine was on and they said "answering machine test 1, answering machine test 2, answering machine test 3." Then hung up. I am also on the Do Not Call List for Federal and for the State of Florida. If it's so important to call then why can't they leave a message. What a waste of time.
- Caller: Toll Free Caller
- TimDNC listed.. this machine calle my number @3:51 pm EST today..
Did not answer and let it roll over into my voice mail black hole. (answers, but doesn't take a message.) - KnightToo many calls coming in from the 1866-948-0585. I consider this annoying and pretty much harrassing.
They don't speak and hang up. It does say line 1 2 and then line 1 4? ?? What the heck .
People need to get together and start doing something about setting a fine or some sort. - Sandy JohnsonStop calling my house! We get random calls about different names of people who have NEVER lived here but we just share the same last name. We're not related, take us off your damn list!
- TomInFloridaCalled and failed to get through thanks to my combination Panasonic phone & brand new Digitone 10 blocking device which I am just now testing. I had reached the 30 number limit on the Panasonic call block list and decided to beef it up with the Digitone 10. Testing is still preliminary, but so far, so good. Consume feces and perish telemarketers, political groups, and all other unwanted callers! :-)
- Caller: Toll Free Calle [sic]
- caricaller calss and hangs up
- AnonymI traced this phone number to a company named Paetec/Windstream via an online toll free number lookup http://www.customtollfree.com/ Paetec claims to provide "personalized business communications." There is always the possibility that the intrusive calls from this number are not originating from Paetec, but simply programmed into the automatic dialer to show up on everyone's called ID. I contacted Paetec and informed them that perhaps someone else is using a number licensed to them to make unsolicited phone calls to a great many people on the Do Not Call list and that they should perhaps investigate. I also informed them that if they are actually the ones placing the calls, I would suggest they cease or be prepared to have their worthless [***] sued off the face of the Earth.
- Caller: Paetec/Windstream
- PatThese calls are persistent at least. They keep calling and just hang up - or no one is there. There are several numbers that do this and not all are 866 numbers. Why can't someone do something about them is my question. And you all are right - it doesn't matter if you are on the do not call list.
- Carla PackThey call all the time. If my answering machine picks up, no message. If I answer no one there. If I call it back, nothing then goes to a fast busy. It is so so annoying. How do I make them stop?
- Caller: home
- ManningCalled Sunday 745pm, I picked up and said hello, nothing, hist # numberous times, nothing... hung up. Caller ID reads 800 service.
- CarlGo to www.fcc.com and click on the electronic complaint form, filling out each of the entries (takes about two minutes), identifying the date and time of the unwanted call(s), any identifying information from Caller ID ("Unavailable" is a valid entry), your number where the call was received and your name, street and email addresses. The FCC will immediately respond with an email to you, identifying the file number assigned to your complaint. If everyone filed these complaints to the FCC, that deluge will prompt an investigation and likely a fine on the calling party.
- BomberoEveryone needs to go to www.fcc.gov and file a complaint. Stop wasting time whining about the DONOTCALL list as Not for profits/Surveys/Politicians/Bill collectors are exempt. Stop making threats here because No Robo callers or call center folks read this. www.fcc.gov! If it is a collection agency then www.ftc.gov or www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov then go to www.fcc.gov. It is illegal to have dead calls, it is illegal to call after 9 pm local time.

I'm not sure which one sells your DIGITONE and I don't care. I wonder how much you got paid for your advertising effort however? - TammyCall came in, answered it and heard nothing. Annoying.
- Caller: 800 Service
- TWT| 1 replyThose calls when no one answer is called a "cold call" what they are doing is checking to see what times of the day you are most apt to answer the phone. When you get these calls say hello once, if no one answers press the # signed repeatedly until you get a dial tone or the message saying "if you would like to make a call please hang up and try again..." This makes them think they have reached a FAX number and they will not bother to call you again.
- blet replies to TWTI tried that and my # key fell off.
