I would suggest picking up this call. I just did (unusual for me) and it was indeed Bell CS. Telling me that I am going to get %15 off my internet for the next 12 months as a loyalty offer.  Sure beats a kit in the a$$ if you ask me.

This relationship with their loyalty dept started about a year ago when I called to say I was considering cancelling my FOUR Bell services, and my bills for all 4 have been going DOWN ever since!

Although, have to admit getting a call from an 800 telemarketer type # that GAVE me about $20 in my pocket was a little wierd.

Me too. Thx to this site. Now I know it has something to do with Bell because I just cancelled my Internet with them. Too fed up with their overbilling. I hope that company goes bankrupt one day. They got rich on canadians backs and all they hire is immigrants. What a shame for those who made them what they are today.

This number calls constantly and hangs up.  It is not a number I know and therefore I do not want them calling me.

Thanks for posting this. My Internet Services with Bell will soon expire and now I know what to Expect!

Oh the sweet sweet irony -- now using Bell Call Block to block calls from Bell on this number FTW!  Dumbasses, they already lost the business, these calls just help to re-assure the decision as correct one.

Despite I’m on the do-not-call list (crtc.gc.ca) I’ve annoying 'dead' phone calls from 1-866-895-6005, 1-866-983-0885, 1-866-988-0885. What for? Guys, I never ever call back. Dead try. Is this your way to earn your money? Crazy people have existing in your whole companies… Probably Bell Company has desired to pay several millions again as it was a short while ago... It will be.

Received a call today at 10:56 am.

I just received a call from this number. The caller said she was from Bell, and wanted a technician to check my internet line. I said "Yeah sure", and hung up.  Then I decided to called Bell, to check .... and the technician confirmed, it was actually from Bell!  Apparently, there had been an internet outage in the "519" area yesterday, and they are still looking into it, to determine who was effected.

Complete idiots keep calling here - BUT I HAVE A ROGER'S PHONE LINE AND INTERNET!!!

They never leave a message but call 4-5 time A DAY.

keeps calling and hanging with dead air at 8:05 every night - and the kicker if i call back to complain - they're closed!  bell answers though -- gonna call and complain tomorrow - its harassment.

Moi aussi j'avais eu des problèmes identiques aux vôtres l'an dernier sans pouvoir trop trop régler le cas.
Maintenant ça faisait 2 jours que je recevais des appels inopportuns de ce foutu numéro.
Je ne savais pas que c'était Bell Sac-à-Caca. Je viens tout juste de communiquer avec ce numéro suite à un 2ième appel en 2 ½ heures d'intervalles. J'étais venu consulter (entre les 2 appels) sur le Net pour en apprendre davantage sur cette affaire.
C'est bel et bien Bell Canada qui m'a répondu lorsque je me suis décidé à contacter ce numéro
(via leur propre agence de télémarketing, le préposé est resté surpris)
et j'ai discuté du problème avec Stéphane à 16h00.
Il m'a confirmé que l'appel provenait bien d'une des (''foutues'') agences de télémarketing de Bell
et il m'a inscrit gratuitement à un service de bloquage de ces appels.....  « LISEZ BIEN CE QUI SUIT...:»
Il dit de plus que, si le cas se représentait à nouveau, il y a un autre service de chez Bell, plus «TOUTCHED», "La Liste d'Exclusion aux Agences de Télémarketing de Bell" qui est disponible lui aussi tout à fait gratuitement...! CHERCHEZ L'ERREUR!!!
À sa question à savoir si j'avais à discuter d'autre chose avec lui, je lui ai répondu que le prochain service pour lequel je souscrirais serait probablement Telus ou une autre compagnie vers qui je me retournerais, même si je suis "CLIENT FIDÈLE depuis 45 ans". Il a dit être désolé mais que mes problèmes seraient sans doute corrigés.
Au moins, j'ai discuté avec un représentant de chez BeBell. Serait-ce la fin de mes problèmes à moi...? L'histoire le dira peut-être!!!? C'est "À SUIVRE", ici sur ce site.

I received a call from 1-866-988-0885 telling me that there was something wrong with my internet connection. The representative at the other end was really pushy in trying to set up an appointment for a Bell technician to come over (they work on Sunday's as well) to check it out. Apparently they claim that they have done everything from their end and need to fine tune or adjust the service so that I can get optimum speed. This despite the fact that there is nothing wrong with my connection and it works well and I have had no issues and said I would call back. The representative then left me a second number to call back 1-866-366-8212 should I wish to set up an appointment. I called Bell at 1-866-988-0885 and the customer service rep had the technician check out my line and found that there were no issues with the speed and the call was most likely a fraudulent one. According to Bell, if there was a problem, the technician would first have me run through a series of tests and if that wasn't resolved an appointment was then in order. I am not sure how Bell's number (1-866-988-0885) which is legitimate shows up on my call display when I suspect that it might originate from a slammer somewhere on the planet.
