It's a fraudulent company.
I contracted with Vacation Sales and Marketing in 9/08.  I told them I was concerned and would need a refund if they did not sell my timeshare as I was staving off bankruptcy due to being in a full commissioned job in the auto industry in which I was ultimately laid off.  I was reassured by the contract in writing that I would be refunded if they did not sell my timeshare in six months.  In 3/09 after they did not sell my timeshare in six months per the contract I sent a certified mailing request for my refund.  They didn't respond and stopped taking my phone calls.  I had an attorney mail a demand letter and they've ignored the attorney's letter.  The next step is small claims court. They are operating under illegal business practices.  They will never refund your money and force you to take legal action.  How many other's are experiencing the same thing with them?  Class action lawsuit anyone?

I am one of those people that trusted VSAM to sell my timeshare. I paid 499.00 dollars but no sale and no refund of fee. I am using the BBB to try to settle this but as I can see this has happened to others as well. This is a live and learn experience. I may not get my monies but they can be assured I will send every negative comment I can to tell others about their deceiving company!!!!!! Good luck..... and God Bless

sounds like you have been ripped off too!!!!! I see now that this is a company that should be on the A-list to warn people of their deceit and false promises to get people to sell their timeshares. They did not sell my timeshare and I contacted them numerous times to get a refund and either noone was there to answer the phone and no return call was made even when leaving a request. When you e-mail them, the reply is to make the call at 1-866-993-8726.  VSAM has ripped people off by keeping their fee even when people request their monies back within the time frame and I see it as fraud!!!!! I wonder how much this company makes in a years time off trusting, hard-working people that are only looking to sell a timeshare. As a consumer I have the right to post negative comments about companies that are fraudulant and Vacation Sales and Marketing is one of them.

They are very deceitful and rude when talking to you about wanting a refund and make it to be your fault for not getting your fee back. I requested by e-mail to see their wonderful ad they did to sell my timeshare.  All I got was a returned e-mail saying you have to call their number to get that info. All they do is keep you guessing and give you the run around til you get tired. I am not going to get tired of providing negative comments about this company!!!! The BBB is trying to settle this dispute of my fee being returned, but live and learn people this is a fradulant company. I have read many such comments now that this has happened to me. Is this a coincidence or are we not being RIPPED off by this company.

I have been receiving calls from various timeshare sellers, due to me stupidly asking for "more information" on a website, and then my cell phone number is out there everywhere.  Anyways, a Larry from Vacation Sales and Marketing called me this morning and gave his speil about how they would refund your money, that they do not do internet marketing, which it plainly stated on their internet site that they DO!  He said he could easily get $17,900 for my timeshare. COME ON!  I know better.  Timeshares are a dime a dozen unfornately and we are the ones that are literally stuck with those outrageous fees each year that climb and climb..But I believe that these guys are a scam as well....There are too many of them out there. BEWARE~ I'm not going to send them one dime of my money, I'll tell ya that.!

Yes, I have shared the same exact experience....I did everything to the T and they are not answering phone calls...what the hell? How do we start a class action? I would love to be a part of it! They jacked me for $450.00 and I sent my request for refund within 30 days of end for $450.00 and have heard nothing. I am pissed and ready for action!!! Let's do this!!! Who is in?

I would like to thank everyone for saving me from this company. I was considering sending them money to sell my timeshare but now I have read your comments I will definitely not use them. On 7/22/09 I received a call from LeAnn Burns trying to get me to make a deposit. I checked the BBB websites and nothing is showing up about the company. I also tried to check a couple of court websites for Georgia and I cannot find any lawsuits.

I am experiencing the same thing-- money was due in June, I send certifired letter, I called they were very nasty.  I have asked an attorney to write a letter but don't think this will work?  does anyone have a copy of the contract and can send me it via email at p2golfer@aol.com.  I am in the process of contracting the Consumer division in Georgia.

Isn't there some law against using the telephone for interstate commerce fraudently?

Hi, a good idea -- I have contacted the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs and they are reseaarching the case.  Do you have a copy of the contract, I accidentiallt send my copy to VSAM in one of the many letters i have send them since they are difficult on the phone.  email address is p2folfer@aol.com   Any more good ideas??

Yeah, that's the problem.  This "Darlene Milano" lady has the VSAM phone number (866) 967-6775 and then the other number of (912) 225-1153 on her personal e-mail of dmilan@cfl.rr.com.

So, the best part.  Last night at 9:30, old Darlene called back and only said this "Your wife is an illiterate." and then hung up.  I know it was her as I have talked to her so very many times in the past few days.  Then, she calls at 2:15, 2:30, 4:15, and I forget what other time, 6:30 and then again at 8:00 am.  This lady is crazy.  Good luck everyone!

Hey everyone.  She called again last night and only said "How's it feel to be hung up on?" and then hung up.  Man, not only is she crazy, she does drugs, too since she called for dang near 36 hours straight.  I guess this is called "Telephonic harrassment" and is against the law!  I wonder if that is true.

gary called my 70 year old dieing grandmother, i used to work for a company who did "marketing" for timeshares, if you read the contract the refund is not based on weather your property sells or not,it's based on weather it was marketed for 180 properly or not! that's how they get you!i looked@ there pre-school website, request to see all marketing materials for your property, DEMAND to see YOUR property in print, on the web, posters,banners ect. Every way they claimed they would get your property exposure! The salesman like Gary are commissioned based they make money upfront, not on the sale of your property! they could care less about the sale, they don't answer or return calls because you only have a certain amount of time to notify your card company! in reviewing the contract for my grandma, I see she NEVER signed ANYTHING, she has no fax or email so they mailed the contract to her so my attorney said the contract is null & void, however because it was over 6 months ago we have to now fight the bank, also if you're 65 or older it's taking advantage of the elderly (like elderly abuse)  & prosecutable by fines & imprisonment! I have had the same experience with that company. Right after I signed with them, my timeshare company sent out a scam notice about VSAM. I will also be going to small claims to try to get my money back.

I, too, have been scammed by this company and have contacted them regularly about my refund - I, too, was told that my check was mailed and when I did not receive it, I kept calling and they said I had to wait until they were certain that I had not cashed the check.  After a month they said that another check would be cut that Friday - has not happened - I would be very interested in getting a telephone for the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs, if you have it.  The one message that talked about a Class Action Suit seems to be a very good idea - would appreciate any information you have about contacting the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs would be sincerely appreciated -
