My story is exactly like yours. I paid $499.00 up front with the promise that I would be refunded after 180 days if my unit had not been sold. I sent the certified letter with no response. After this they stopped taking my calls. When I called I always receive an answering service. I leave my name and number, but never get a call back. I will never pay a fee up front again. I think they are all a scam!!!!!!!!!

i have been wanting to sell our timeshare for a few months now and found a website Vacation Sales and Marketing.  I talked to a girl named Tracy and she wants us to pay $399 now to sell our timeshare.  When i said that i wanted to talk to my husband to confirm she became a little "salesman" like and wanted me to do it by the end of the day today! she said that if it was any later then we would have to pay more to get it sold.  Now i am reading all of these complaints.  I havent done anything yet but wanted to follow up and see if there were any updates on people getting their money back if their property didnt sell.
Do you know of any reputable companies out there that DO sell time shares?

I too was a victim of these scammers.  Has anyone contacted the Georgia Consumer Affairs office?  I am filling out a formal complaint now, don't know if it will help or not, but feel like something needs to be done to these people.  I would love to get in on a class action suit.

Yes, I got them, too, but I fell for it back in September.  I have tried to call repeatedly to talk to a customer rep, and have even called 'Darlene' back on her 912 number and left a message.  No one is responded.  Unfortunately, I have 11 months to go before I can ask for a refund, but I am very interested in a class action suit.

This type of operation should be illegal as hell. Thank GOD we didn't fall for it. Why on earth does ANY real estate transaction require an upfront fee. You list your house with an agent, guess what: they don't sell your house, they don't make any money!!!  This lady Darlene is one piece of work.  She was calling me from a 912 225 1153 number but now she is calling from 386 307 2696. her email address is the same as everyone else who complained here: dmilano@cfl.rr.com

Something needs to be done to these people

well, here goes...vacation sales and marketing claims that they are out of st marys georgia, hence the 912 area code. the truth is they are at 1490 W Internatl Speedway Blvd Daytona Beach, FL 32114-1442 in between outback and an airplane store, diane crosby is the ring leader of the scam, followed by daryl and his girl twila, who uses the name sue wang as customer service. diane was also involved in a scam called copeland marketing which was shut down and was in the same plaza. They are one of the biggest timeshare scam companies out there. By all means, do not sign up with ANY company who asks for money up front, especially VSAM. Believe me you are wasting your money, and will never see a penny returned. Give it away to charity and take the tax deduction.

We have been scamed the same way as many other people from what I am reading in the reviews from this company.  I even wrote a review on google web site for them and told what happened to me as well.   We were told that they would sell our timeshare within 180 days and if they did not sell it they would refund our money provided we followed their refund request directions.  We did as instructed as per the agreement we even got return receipt to show we did as required within time requirements.

I am in the same boat as the rest of you.  Same situation.  I have been calling everyday and leaving messages.  They claim someone will call me back within 48 hours.  It's been two months and I haven't gotten a call back.  (Longest 48 hours of my life).  I will be calling a lawyer on this to see if I can get my money back.  From the posts that I have read, they even ignore those letters.  Maybe a class action lawsuit is what we need to do.  I'll try to keep you all updated as to what I find out.  It may not be until the New Year.  My email is:  duncan_m@bellsouth.net if you all want to contact me.  I am located in Florida.
