- Andy replies to AnonymI have been a professional collector for 30 years and what this company does violates the law. The do not give the name of the originator of the debt and attempt to coerce payment without providing proof of any obligation. The fact that some people might owe money does not give them the right to harrass them. If they believe that they own a viable collectable debt they should take the debtor to court. That is what I do for my clients.

- teri replies to UNKNOWN5-25-12 glass mountain capital called me . from 414-376-5902 . trying to collect a so called debt i owe. my debts r paid. i owe nothing.
- G.I got a call from this # - some Kenny was looking for my husband (but was calling my cell!). He could not even spell our last name, but said it was about personal matter!!! and he could not talk to me about it. We will never call or answer a call from that number again!
- Tina SBrian called my parents twice. First he called demanding payment for red violation tickets that were paid. Today he called about a Capital One Credit Card that has also been paid in full. Calling people dead beats and losers is pretty immature and uncalled for. These people are trying to make fast cash because the economy is in a bad position so they are trying to take advantage of people and collect on debt that shows up on their credit reports. If the people are foolish enough to believe them, they get their money and you never hear from them again. If you truly owe money to whoever you will receive letters in writing and how much the debt is and they also give you time to pay. Calling people and being rude and threatening them is not going to make anyone pay any bill any faster. It's a real shame that these fake debt collectors are stealing people's money. Identity Theft is so bad right now.
I would caution all of you to be very careful and make sure you have proper documentation of all transactions you do. These bad people want to steal your money.
I will be reporting this phone number to the police, and federal givernment to see if they can track Brian down and stop him. He is not a true debt collector. He is a THIEF............- Caller: Unknown

- AngelspawnThis number has been calling my home with an automatic message and when it gets to the part for the name there is no name!!! It just has blank airtime. Add to it that they get the answering machine and they say their spiel then say they are giving you time to hang up if this isn't you, well how the heck is your answering machine supposed to know to hang up? So now they will believe they have the correct number for whomever they were trying to reach!

- ihatedebtcollectors replies to Anonymi have no outstanding debt and think you all are scum of the earth. all you want to do is get paid. you dont care if that takes food off someones table or clothes off their back. im sure you can sleep at night like a baby too. you have no talent other than pushing buttons on a phone and harrassing people. good for you. get a real job [***].
- JJ| 1 replyIf you are unfortunate and have confirmed you are the person they have requested to talk to and like me, the debt is a 15 year old debt, you have just reactivated the debt as a new line of credit and it will remain as an unpaid debt on your credit report for the next 7 years.
Rule of thumb:
DO NOT CONFIRM ANYTHING.
IF THEY ASK IF YOU ARE SO AND SO, SAY, " YOU'VE GOT THE WRONG NUMBER. PLEASE DO NOT CALL AGAIN."

- Annoyed replies to AnonymThat's a pretty generalized statement to make! You should really educate yourself before you attack the character of another person. My identity was stolen over a year ago and this person decided to go get a large amount of online check loans. Once these loan companies did not get their money back they sold off the debt to several different companies so in turn I have 7 debt collectors all calling for the SAME debt. Most of these debt collectors do not follow the debt collection laws, threatening someone with Jail time or calling family and supervisors telling them I am wanted for check fraud is NOT a legal collection procedure. It's against the law. I have had these people call and threaten me daily for months however NEVER follow through with the threat. WHY because its not a valid debt or collection if it was its really easy to file a complaint in court and get your money. They refuse to validate the debt, they refuse to tell me where they are located and provide any information but want me to hand over my bank account information. They use Apps so when they call the seem to be calling from a local numbers. They have even pretended to be cops! So you see AS!@#hole I am not avoiding ANYTHING but I have rights and these people are violating them.
- WHAT?They called my cell and I answered as I usually do. VERY LOUD and not able to hear. It frustrates them and they hang up. Stopped after a few calls.

- BetterThanaBroomI had some debt about ten years ago and was unable to pay all of it. I paid those who were willing to work with me and told the rest to basically go to hell. I live in Texas. The Statute of Limitations on most debt here is four years. The people at GMC (Glass Mountain), like many others, like to buy very old debt that is out of the SOL and then try to collect the full amount. They usually pay pennies on the dollar. These people absolutely hate when they have to deal with a consumer who is aware of things like the SOL. These people called me and I told them they had reached the correct person so they started in. NEVER NEVER NEVER admit the debt is yours. Never admit you know anything about it but you can state that you know the SOL in your state (they vary state to state) and that you have no debt within that period of time. Then they will try to threaten you. ALSO, if you have a debt that is coming close to the SOL NEVER make a payment on it because that can start the time period for the SOL again, depending on your state.
If you want to play with these people, or any collection agency simply do this as I did with them. Tell them they have the correct number but they are wasting their time because you are going to block them and laugh. These people are not very smart so they will start calling from other numbers which is great because as soon as they do you can block. Better for them to call and block because they dont have an unlimited number of phone numbers. You can also send a Cease and Desist letter. Be careful with SOL, however, they can stll sue but (take you to court) so if you receive a summons that you are being sued you HAVE to appear but simply tell the judge that it is out of SOL. If you don't appear they will receive a default judgment against you and can start the harrassment all over. Never ignore a summons that you are being sued.- Caller: Glass Mountain (GMC)

- elieI got this message every day ,this has to stop !
- CHBTX replies to lametYes, they do have trolls, most companies do, especially ones that are illegitimate, suspicious or illegally handle situations. You were very helpful & informative. I just happened to answer the phone at work & received an automated phone call, I usually hang up immediately, but my hands were tied up at the moment & before I could hang up it did say my name so I wrote down the number. It was at 7:30 AM Central time, again at my WORK #. I have no outstanding debts that I am not dealing with already through other companies & those were carried over from my divorce over 5 years ago. I researched the number & did find the GMC credit name. I have no information on a debt that would have been through them. When I did call back he did not have the company name, only another debt collection agency that handed the debt over to him, I just hung up. I will not pay anything that can't be proven a valid debt. I'm thinking this company is scamming.
