- Sick & TiredCaller ID: TOLL FREE CALL. When answering machine picked up, foreign-sounding male said, "Hello, can I speak to the homeowner," while in the background were the obvious sounds of a boiler room operation. Took him a while before he finally figured out he wasn't speaking to anyone & finally hung up. What a loser! Number now blocked!
- Kacie| 6 repliesI recieved a call from them as a debt collector, it was a legitimate debt, and they were wonderful to work with! Very nice girl named Jennifer with Glass Mountain Capital helped me get a reasonable settlement and after 2 short payments I was free and clear of that debt. If they call you just talk to them, they will work with you!

- MJG replies to KacieSIX PAGES of complaints and you show up with a happy comment - which certainly looks like a SHILL ALERT!!
- Mary replies to KacieSo why are you here, "Kacie?" You just looked up the number of the company to come here and lie? My goodness, you're not even good at shilling, are you? Kacie (or is it KC?), why don't find something better to do with your life than trying to scare people into paying debts they probably don't even owe? Go to school. Learn to do something that you can be proud of rather than scamming. Surely your better than this scum bag group of amoral, unethical creatures.
- BigA replies to KacieThanks for alerting us to this number now used by this criminal organization. Without your help we might not have been able to warn people about the thieves you work for.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

- Tygerakt replies to KacieTHey MAILED you proof of thbis debt before you paid them, right? You didn't just give some random caller your money, right? 'cause a phone call isn't valid proof of debt, dear shill, only US Mail is. So go on, give us the legal name and business address that was on the debt validation notice they MAILED to you.
- Resident47 replies to JohnJohn, Michelle, Victor, et al: No one else reading this page can ''please stop these calls'' from anywhere on your behalf. Nowhere on 800Notes is such a service promised or suggested. It's your job to manage nuisance calls to your phones. These forums are for call recipients to share their experience, attempt to identify call sources, and optionally offer advice, as others before you have done.
- Resident47 replies to JJNo, no, and no again. The mere fact of answering a collection call and/or confirming your own name does not mean agreement with a debt claim or an excuse to reset the Statute of Limitations clock. Realistically you will be unable to defend your rights without making some form of contact.
You get "a new line of credit" when you are lent money, not when some debt buyer bumbles along years later. Any debt buyer tradeline on a credit report is rehashing old news, probably inaccurate, and should be examined for FCRA violations and spark a lawsuit if needed.
Trying to falsely claim "wrong number" is a poor strategy which can drive the same collector to hassle your relatives and neighbors and workplace until someone 'fesses up. You have to face your accusers like a grownup, while taking careful note of any behavior which violates consumer law, which is inevitable in the pursuit of junk debt. - Resident47 replies to KacieGo tell it on the "Moin-tain"! I'm so relieved that Kacie and the Sunshine Shills are here to reverse years of idle threats, deceptive practices, and illegal calling times from rude reps chasing both paid and invalid accounts. Older comments reveal that even its industry peers couldn't stomach GMC's foul tactics. Junk debt collectors can "work with me" by not lying to my face, fetching my validation, and obeying my orders restricting when and where they call me. Else they can work against me in Federal court for a few months and cut me a fat check when they've had enough of the truth.

- BigA replies to Ms. No DebtThey don't care if you owe or don't owe, all they want is for someone, anyone to pay them. Again, it would be in your best interests to read the other informative posts in here because i can assure you they will not stop calling otherwise.
