I got 4 calls from this number in the past 3 days.  When I called back, it sayed RBC.  I hung up since I never gave RBC this cell phone number.

I get 6 calls a day from this number, been over a week now, I never answer but they keep calling for no reason

Keep saying that they are from RBC Bank and asking to confirm my identity. The phone they're reaching to is not on my profile.

can get a call blocker. Posting your email address is the sure way to get scammed. Post will be removed for you own protection.

Perhaps the best thing to do is if you get what SEEMS to be legitimate call is to NOT RESPOND to any of their robocall ID questions, HANG UP and check your accounts and ask at the bank branch directly.  If the call was legit (to remind you of a payment?) then you will be able to settle the problem, or confirm that it's a phishing scam. DO NOT COOPERATE WITH ROBOCALLS.  It's the safest policy and the best way to protect yourself.

I have received two calls from this number. Claiming to be RBC Royal Bank I did not answer. It went to my message.

I've been called by this number before, they claim to be from RBC. It's an automated message. Asks you to verify the last 3 digits of your postal code to verify your identity and to hang up if you are not the intended recipient of the call. Informed me that I did not make my monthly credit card payment (which was true). I received a call once each day until that payment was made (online, not via the phone call). Personally, I don't believe this number is a scam, as it's also listed under RBC's Facebook page contact info. Just an automated reminder message. Just don't provide personal details to an automated call, no matter who it's from and you're good.

Stop fear mongering people.... this number is really just RBC doing collection calls for past due accounts. They ask for your birthday. I entered it wrong on purpose and it said incorrect. I put my correct birthday and it confirmed it was me and reminded me to pay my credit card (I forgot to pay it). It didn’t ask for any other information and simply said to pay my card. No big deal.

Just got a call from “RBC” 1-877-214-5948. Wanted me tp press 1 after they gave  a PO Box number in Montreal. Duh. I hung up.

Called me several times a day，just hang up。

If you have anything that went to a second party collections agent then there will be nothing wrong with your bank accounts. And RBC won't be able to tell that there are any issues.

1.  That post was clearly made in 2014, 5 years ago. Giving advice now is useless and a waste of time unless you know for a fact that person is going to stop back.
2.  Collections go to a third party debt collection agency.
3.  If the bank sent you to collections because you failed to pay a loan, then they most certainly will know about it.

I get a call from this number multiple times a day but when I don’t answer there is no message left.  They know people can’t answer the phone 24/7 so why not leave a message the first time? Idk if it’s real or a scam. Since I’ve moved out to Eastern Canada I’ve had more scam calls then I can remember so I am cautious.

I have blocked this number, but the calls keep coming in.  I did call my service provider, only to find out that there is an emulator that keeps calling my number!!!
