We are having this unwanted call from 877-214-5948 almost everyday for the last 2-3 months.
They are claiming an important personal banking matter from RBC...
This is really annoying....

Today I have received call from this number and they are asking the calling from RBC Bank. It’s important call so I come on Google and check thank you now I am I confirming this is sCam number thank you

I was reading all these messages about it being a scam. So I ignored it. Opened my RBC app and was prompted with a notification I missed my CC payment. So I thought I’d call back and see what’s up.  It IS legit. It’s RBCs credit Department and they just wanted to let me know I missed my payment.  So I paid it. Calls stopped. lol.

The phone number that came in was 877-214-4948. I let it go to voice mail as my phone said likely scam. The voice mail said to call back on an urgent matter of my personal banking. At the end it said this is not a telemarketing scam. I looked up RBC’s phone number and this is not it. The is a SCAM. And the same one that has been going on since 2013 as per the post here.

Received robo call from 1 877 214 5948 telling me I had to call 1 866 759 3336 to resolve a personal banking issue. Absolutely a scam. Somehow even knew my name and correct bank.

I've been getting these calls, even though I haven't been dealing with RBC for over 20 years! All my accounts are closed.

This number has been calling me every morning. I don't even have an account with RBC!

received numerous automated calls from this number showing up as from RBC at my landline that I never use, I have not registered it with any bank. they are looking for a person by name who lives in the neighbourhood. they claim it's not a telemarketing call they want to discuss a banking matter with him. I reported this to RBC and blocked this number.

Scammers often call family, friends, neighbors and employers of the person they are trying to scam, in an effort to embarrass them and get them to call the scammers to get the calls to stop.
You may want to tell your neighbor of the call and advise them not to call back.
