    Fed up with RPM
I got a call from them -- all it said was "this is Dave, you need to call me at 877-233-8527" (almost like he was a friend of mine, but since none of my friends have 877 numbers, I knew it was a scam of some kind).

Seriously, if there's not a law that requires them to identify themselves on calls/messages, then there ought to be.

I get calls from this number at least twice a day. Sometimes they stay on the line long enough to leave a voicemail that's just a recorded message. I don't know how to stop this number from constantly calling my cell phone!!

I received a call from 877-233-8527, looking for Gil Beecham(?), pressed 2 saying I was NOT Gil, automated response was to call 800-618-6418 with contact # 8483996. Called the 800 # 2X, got a live contact, explained that I am not Gil, she asked for my phone #, and said it would be taken off the list. We'll see.

The big problem is that Sprint, and I am sure the other cell companies, recycles the numbers too fast. I got my number fron Nextel about two years ago and I still get calls for some Hispanic guy. I am sure he left the country without paying his bills. I used to get calls from the local school about his kids not being in class, doctor offices, lawyers, utility companies and plenty of Temp Agencies. Sprint and the other comanies need to tell the collection agencies that they have given the number to someone else and not to call. I may drop Sprint when my contract is up over this.

Hint: Store the number on your cell under the name "Do Not Ans". This will save you from having to talk to these people.

RPM has been calling me for the last 7 days.  They want to talk to my son who has been deceased for four years.  It was his debt. I am on the "do not call list".  How can they keep calling when I put my number on that list?  I am keeping track of all calls so I hope I can sue them for harrassment.  I am 75 years old and I told my daughter if I die of a heart attack because of the stress it is causing me, she knows who is to blame.

Alex I'll Take CallerID for $800
They've been ringing my fax # for the last several days. As I don't pick up any calls from numbers I don't recognize, they can call all they want to (hell, it's a FAX line! lol). Clearly it's a wrong or old number because that # has never been used for vox as long as I've had it - and that's been years. Thanks for all of the previous entries!

Calls incessantly, does not leave a message. It started two days ago, once in the evening. Then tonight it’s once an hour. So finally I answer and they ask for someone that I don’t know. I told them that they have a wrong number and that was that. After ready other comments, I’m not so sure it’s over. FYI Tel. 866-212-7408 is Receivables Performance Management (RPM) in Bothell, Wa.

1-877-233-8527 were the collectors.  RPM stands for Receivables Performance.  They had a mixup in their database.  My 8-year-old answered the phone and got a bit mouthy with the collection jerk...and then this LOW LIFE actually used profanity with my child!!

I made a BIG stink with the company and got the company owner on the phone.  I was hoping that I had the conversation recorded.  If so, the owner assured me that he would fire the agent on the spot.  He gave me all of his personal information:

    Company Owner:        Bob Polus
    Direct Phone Line:    425-984-6249
    Personal Cell Phone:  206-469-5552
    email address:        rpolus@recivablesperformance.com

Owner is a decent man; was ready to fire the lowlife phone attendant on the spot but needed proof of the incident (which I understand) unfortunately, I was not able to retrieve the recorded phone call.

Still punished my son for his conduct with an adult on the phone - no matter how much of a scumbag the man was.  Unfortunately, he still has his job.

They call me and know all my personal numbers and other information, I never use Sprint. So I'm afraid they took personal information.

Don't know if they are affilliated with AT&T or not, but they keep calling my home also.  They never leave a message.  I called the number (877-233-8527) and some rude person answered and said, "RPM, what can I do for you?"  I asked what company this was and she replied, "This is RPM - Receivables Performance Management."  I asked what kind of company are you and did not receive an answer.  Instead, I heard what sounded like some kind of equipment being turned on.  Are they tracing calls now?  I did not call them from the number they had called.  The number I called from has caller ID blocked.  If it's Sprint they're calling for, well, I've never, never had Sprint.

this number called my personal cell phone today asking for my business name and I told them they had the wrong number, then they hung up with out saying sorry for the inconvince or any thing. then after finding this site I wanted to call nextel to make sure everything was fine on there end and indeed I had a $124 balance from an old account that my number was on from 2 years ago. I asked them if I could pay it through them and after I was on hold for about 5 min she came back on and said I would have to deal with the collection agency. So I called them back and explained why I said what I said and after about 10 min of telling the lady I would not give her my SS# over the phone she simply said we can't find you and hung up. So then I called nextel back and told them what had transpired and they zeroed out my old account and took $75 off of my balance on the account I have now for all the headache that I had. So if you have ever had any thing with nextel or sprint or not you may want to call them and ask if you have gotten this phone call and get it taken care of.

Have gotten several calls from this company, all the same odd behavior and at different odd hours late at night or early morning.  The caller will say their first name when asked who's calling, but either won't say what company or why they're calling or if you keep pressing them will just mumble RPM but won't elucidate, but start asking you for personal information.
We've never had Sprint but my wife took one of the calls and they seem to be calling about someone with the same name who had a Sprint account and are trying to do collection.  It's from a different address and no relation to me, but they keep harassing even after requested not to call.
