- Roninsame as others have posted. This is a phishing scam to get SSN's from randomly called numbers.. they fly under the radar as this is new ploy used by some credit agencies data mining SSN's. I wish we had a responsive Govt agency (FTC is sleeping) to shut them down; or better yet.. a law firm to file a class action suit and make it very expensive ot data mine via annoying telephone calls.

- HarrassedI receive calls from the same number as well as other numbers .....very aanoying, but since I have had the number they call from forwarded to a non working number the frequency of calls have declined very much. My ISP/phone providor has a option to do a selective call forwarding. I have a list of numbers that I have forwarded to a non working number. Everytime I get a call from a marketer or collection agency I add their number to the list. During the day I have all my calls forwarded to this non working/phony number. Since I am at work it does not matter and if someone needs to contact me they can use my private cell number or my work number. Works great.
Sometimes I will even forward their number back to them... that really pisses them off. - AnnoyedI received an annoying and disturbing call from 877-337-3099. First I answered the phone and no one was there. they called right back; again, no one was there. I called the # back and this lady was rude, she raised her voice at me rambled off some ss# that did not belong to me and told me that I needed to cooperate with her. I hung up the phone immediately.

- Lee| 1 replyThese guys are a collection agency of last resort. If the other, more professional outfits cannot trak you down, they send these guys after you. The track every lead, call every human being in the world that has a similar name pattern to yours and call and call and call...they called me for months before I finally decided to call back and it turned out they wanted a guy with the reverse of my name (last name first; first name last) for a bill from a company I had never heard of. If Collection agencies are vermin, these guys are the vermin's vermin...

- Colleen L.I have been receiving calls for about a year - every day once a day - on my cell phone. It tells me this is not a marketing call and to hold on and someone will get with me. I always hung up and quit answering when that # showed on my caller ID. I once tried to stay on the line to ask them to quit using up my cell phone minutes but was on hold for 15 minutes with no one picking up. Today I called the number provided via this website and a polite person answered took my information and said he would take me off the list. I will post another reply if this does not happen
- GerrySeveral calls from this number - 877-337-3099 - as early as 8:15 in the morning. "Important message - da da da." Called them back. It is a collection agency in Englewood, CO. Got a person, would noy talk unless I gave her the reference number. Finally asked for my telephone number. Put oin hold, she finally reyurned saying they were seeking an Amanda. Asked "Amanda who?" and she said it was really not my concern! No Amanda here, I have had this telephone nuymber for 1 1/2 years. She finally got rude and closed with "You have a nice day!"

- Bob| 2 repliesThese people really aren't a problem. I called back and reported the reference number. I identified myself, my number is listed, and told the guy I've lived at my current address for 5 years. They were looking for someone else and removed my number from their list. It was as simple as that.

- washpci replies to BobI took a differtent approach. Because these calss started just a few days ago when I started my new AT&T cell service, I contacted AT&T. I told them that with my new number came these unwanted recurring calls. I also told them that we have 3 options. Either block the number, change my telephone number, or I would have to discontinue AT&T. They gave me a new number.
I recognize this is not a good solution for many, but it sure fit m under my circumstances.
Hope this might help some of you. - LarrySame caller - 4 times in 2 weeks; 3 times a man's voice; 4th was a woman's voice. Picked them up on voicemail.
- JP from PhiladelphiaI received a call from this number, but hung up after being on hold for a few minutes. I called back later and pressed "0" for an agent. He asked whether I was calling from the same number as had been called before. He said they were looking for a Chad _______. I replied that there was no one named Chad ______ at this telephone number. He indicated that our number would be removed from their database and that we would receive no further calls as of midnight tonight. It was a surprisingly painless experience, but what a pain in the butt to have to deal with it in the first place.
- RikiWe have had this phone number for about two years. We have also had a home business number for about six months. We get calls probably 3-4 times a week from a recording with either a female or a male voice saying, "Please call this number. I have an important message for you. This is not a sales call." We are on both the State and Federal "No Call" lists so can't something be done about this?
- MikeI have recieved calls from these morons on occasion over the past several years. They will not say who they are. They associate a Tony Henderson with my address and phone number of which I have had for 10 years now. I have no clue who Tony is and neither do any of my neighbors. My credit score last time I checked was 846, I own not one penny to anyone on this earth, I own three homes and a ranch all paid for etc. yadda yadda yadda. Occasionally I will get a letter for a Tony Henderson also. I just toss them of course. They should be a bounty on these morons who call people all the time. I would do it for free. Most likely these people are only alive simply because it is illegal to kill them.

- SLDI just called the number (877-337-3099) and got a message "Welcome..." and it gave me several options. One was to remove my number from their list. I put in my number and a message came back that said that if my number was in their database it would be removed within two business days. Hopefully this will take care of these annoying phone calls.

- The FlipperSOS Scenario.
I didn't want to call back for several reasons:
-They are supposed to ID themselves up front
-They are not supposed to use prompts
-They will know that I have a valid phone # and may sell it
I'm using the complaint forms provided here and on FTC.
Several times I used *69 since I don't have caller ID...SAME PEOPLE!
Keep pen & paper by the phone to document your complaints!!!! - BethAdd me to the list of people getting called all the time from this number.
