I would like to know where in the FDCPA there is a $50,000 fine?  Oh, and debt collectors are not covered by the DNC, a fact that you would have known had you taken the time to read this:

These people call me at least three times each day, but I never answer or respond. I've never heard f a company called Avantta or Carson Smithfield and the phone they're calling is a business phone for my LLC

They said I owed $98.29 from Merrick Bank...I do not!! That debt was paid in a Debt Resolution with Cornerstone  Legal Group..

Cornerstone Legal Group is a well known criminal enterprise.  You paid that money to crooks who have now sold your name and information to other crooks as an easy mark.  You failed to make them follow the law and prove that you not only owed the debt but (and this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  I would suggest that you take the time to read the other posts and find the ones that tell you where you can learn how debt collection is supposed to work and to report these crooks as well.  Or you can keep paying these extortionists forever.  Your choice.

This number was given to me by a woman named Thamena who stated she works at Equifax info telephone call line. I reached her by dialing a number while I was trying to enroll in the free Premier ID plan. While trying to enroll I was not able to download the terms and conditions and kept getting a proxy erroe message. The woman stated the site was having problems and gave me this number to call. I can't help thinking Equifax doesn't really want to help consumers whose info was accessed illegally online. All and any attempts to deal with them are complicated and based on misinformation given related to contacting them such as phone numbers and addresses.

They are not voilating your HIPPA rights that has only to do with medical information, however I understand your frustration as she is violating your privacy.

Rec'd call from 877-394-5975.  Caller ID said Carson Smithfield but it said "mobile".  I do not know why they are calling, did not leave a message.  Why would a business be calling from a mobile phone???

Keep calling, no message, which tells me they are hiding.  Never heard of cardworks
