- mrscronkA woman named Diana Washington at ext. 3333 CALLED MY MOM (who is 69) and told her to give me a message to call her! She said that she had tried to call my old phone number but it wasn't good anymore and she needed to talk to me about an important matter that she had sent correspondence to me about. I've never heard of "Diana Washington"! She wouldn't give my mom any information as to the name of the company but said that I had supposedly put my mom's information on something and that's how she had gotten her phone number. Of course it helps that my mom has lived at the same place for about 15 years! Luckily my mom said the woman was very pleasant or else this woman would be getting her ear chewed off when I call back to see what the crap this is all about.
- seriously pissed replies to PhilI have been receiving calls from this number, 877-395-3541, at my place of employment. They state that I owe a Payday Loan (payday loans are not even legal or allowed in my state of residence). I filed a report with my local law enforcement agency. FBI is also investigating. This is considered identity theft and I have frozen all my credit reports/changed all bank accounts. People, take this seriously. Don't let these people slide. Report them to your local law enforcement immediately if you get a call.
- irritatedGuy called my parents house asking for me. Claimed that he needed to speak with him about information regarding my SSN that his company had sent out to me.

- sarahGot a call from this number. Refused to tell me what it was concerning just that they needed to speak to me and found it odd I was screening calls for an adult, since I never admitted to being the person they were calling. never identified themselves as a company. Called my home, which isn't listed on any account I have in collections.
- Climbing outGot a call this morning from "Jason Gonzalaz" about a known debt from back in college (11 years ago). I've worked hard to pay off my debt and this is the last account not in good standing. He was rough, but so was I. He explained my options, I told him I would call him back, after researching the copany (Credit Control, http://www.credit-control.com/) I called him back and said I wanted proof that he was actually collecting on a debt and not scamming me, he agreed and an email was sent from Amanda Gazos, Collections Supervisor, to me from validating my information and account numbers about the known debt. The email had a letter from Joe DiBello, Vice President. A quick search on him shows he is General Manager of Credit Control based out of Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL.
Are they scumbags? Yes. This company aggressivly persues people who owe debt, the rudness and agressivness they show comes with the business.- Caller: Credit Control, LLC

- crazyone replies to Teresa Stringercheck the statute of limitations in your state--if the date given is past the statute --do not acknowledge the debt or offer payment --if you do then the date will be valid----tell them you do not recognize the debt--send complete validation and tell them not to call you anymore-all correspondence will be by mail!! Also get their company name and a valid phone number--
- crazyonekept getting calls--no message--finally got one with live person--when they ask for someone--even if it is you say --sure ---just a minute--lay the phone down and ignore it for 10 or 15 minutes---after all it's their dime!!

- GigiThey have been calling me and they do leave a message that says: since you do not answer your phone: Push one if you are.... push 2 if you are not... push 3.... and push 4.... The last one gets cut off and I hang up. One time I answered and told the guy to cease and desist from calling me or I would report them to FTC for harrassment. I have a debt settlement company for them to call and gave him the number. He started yelling at me and actually screaming so loud he got his vocabulary all twisted up and I started laughing. Then told him "I am not talking to you anymore'. and hung up. Then I was shaking and crying and my neighbor rushed me to emerg. as my b/p was 180/105.
After that bad experience I do not answer 1-800 calls and I write the numbers down and the times and turn them over to my debt settlement company. They are scary.- Call type: Debt collector

When I asked her to mail me something she said why if it was taken careoff. she still wants the information about it.- Call type: Debt collector
- CrystalThe called my work phone and never left a message. They had the nerve to call twice also, not calling them back either.
- t.k.bunch of crap....these guys keep calling about a stolen credit card....
- thomas o.Call these guys and ask they why they discuss the information with whoever calls them.
They don't verify who they are talking to, they just start discussing the information with whoever calls. You don't have to be be part of the account or not. You can be a person on the street calling about an account based on a phone number you picked out of the phone book and they will tell you everything about that person....
