- JohnGot some calls at home and looked up the number on the caller id. Once I learned who these clowns were, I knew there was no point talking with them. Then, they called me at work, before they even sent a letter. Clear violation of the FDCPA. I informed the clown of the violation and said we have nothing to talk about. Then I was asked when a good time would be for him to call me. I told him what part of my anatomy to kiss. I have filed complaints against this company with their local BBB and the FTC. I finally got a letter that was sent via bulk rate. I will exercise my rights under the FDCPA and if they refuse to play by the rules, I will retain an attorney and sue these clowns.

Get a Real Job!! LOSER - Steel City Gal replies to dreAM ONYes you can buy debt for pennies on the dollar which can keep your debt going for additional years if several companies turn it over several times. There is a specific amount of time that a creditor has to collect debt from you. Diane Sawyer from ABC news did a special investigation about debt collecting companies doing this, it was on several months ago. Check their archives to learn more or consult with a bankruptcy lawyer. I personally had a car note change hands 3 times and just before the debt was due to expire was sued, this after the car was repoed several years earlier. I was fialing bankruptcy so they being any of them got any payment from me.
- David replies to BOTTOM FEEDING BILL COLLECTORYeah we love being delinquent and laid off from our jobs that went off shore, and spend down our retirement to live, at least we have someone to talk to, you [***]!
- AnnonymousJust for the record: I sent Richard Boudreau a cease & desist letter and they STILL call. I even told them on the phone that they are violating the cease & desist letter!
- Angel MasonI receive calls from this number all the time and just don't answer. I have also received calls from a dozen other numbers and they all come back to this "law firm". At one point, a local number came up and I answered. It ended up being from someone claiming to be from this law firm and said that I owed $1000.00 to a payday loan company. I never once got a loan from a payday loan company. This guy was very determined to get my bank account number to make this payment. He also stated that if I did not pay this off, that the company was going to send the cops to my house, work, etc to arrest me. He also stated that I had to be to court in Florida cause I was being sued. Needless to say, I never gave the guy any info, never paid for something I did not receive. Oh yeah, I never got arrested and never went to court. LOL. These guys are the lowest of the low and will not stop.

- Lauren replies to BOTTOM FEEDING BILL COLLECTORits spelled buisness not bizness, they are not suppose to call family memebers etc, especially when you tell them they do NOT live with you and to please stop and they say they will "take you off the list", also they are not legally allowed to give out your information to anyone unless it is the person they are to speak to. not family, in some states not even the wife may speak to them. I do find it odd though they will not tell the wife ANYTHING yet when they call a person who they believe to be a family member just because they have the last name and they can tell THEM why they are calling and all the information.
Anyways that is all i have to say, if you check back like you say you supposevly shall do, i honestly most likely wont as i just wanted to see where this number was coming from.

- Rick replies to THE COLLECTORLuckily my cell phone is always on vibration and I silence it when I'm at home, occasionally looking at it just in case there is a call worth taking. Easy way to deal with you guys. In my case I get calls for a Best Buy laptop I returned and wasn't given credit for, so no matter how oft you call me, you'll never get a penny from me. Additionally, I only live half a year in the United States and you don't have my phone number in Europe...
- MAY replies to BOTTOM FEEDING BILL COLLECTORThen tell me why they will not give me the original proof of debt???? I can't get any info out of them. I have tried to work out an amount to settle with and they hung up and would not give me the address to send payment!!! So sorry not going to work out anything it is going to my lawyer!
- Kdkerp| 1 replyIf you owe money and don't pay it back then the debtor has a ight to attempt to collect on the debt. Its called paying your bills and living within your means. This does not include those cases where you have lost your job or have new health issues and are unable to work.
- Caller: 877 404 4490
- Post to Post replies to KdkerpUnfortunately, they don't care, either--even if you have lost your job and are sick.
I am dealing with this very issue right now--and "Unemployed and uninsured with no assets" means nothing to them. One just as well be talking to a fence post... - PamNot very effective bill collections. I answer and they hang up. Jeeze.

- petermedal replies to unnamedyou are exactly right. Banks and Credit Card Companies lobby congress with millions to make laws that favor them and then accuse us of being in violation of what are, in fact, unethical laws in the first place. It is sheer greed on their part. There is nothing fair or just in how they manipulate your interest rate, credit score or any number of other factors that then come back to hurt you. Almost the same scenario happened to me, they reduced limits, upped rates and as a seasonal self employed farmer, instead of barely making it through each winter, I ended up being unable to pay my mortgage and was foreclosed on.
A word of advice to everyone. Google 'your state name + statute of limitation on debt' to find out what your state considers a debt too old to sue for. This means that if the debt is too old (In MAss for instance the limit is seven years) you cannot be taken to court for a judgement. If they should summons you, you merely show up at court (DO NOT AVOID GOING - ITS FUN AND YOUR TAXES PAY FOR IT) announce the debt to be outside of the State's Statute of Limitations for Debt Collection. The judge will dismiss it. They have every right to call, but they cannot get a judgement and so cannot collect when you say NOOOOOO. And do not pay any partial payment, that merely reinstates the starting period from which the debt statute begins to be counted. God Bless All True Americans Who Fight Against Corporate Greed! - PattiI received 2 calls from these people and the caller ID showed Law Office and the number. I blocked the call but they still keep trying to call. They never leave a message and if I don't recognize the number, I don't answer the phone.
