- Caller: international association of health care professionas
- Call type: Telemarketer

- Caller: Leading physicians of the world.
- Jane wilsonSame as the others. Received a phone message about appearing in an international nursing association publication.....was very suspicious so I googled phone number and saw this blog. I willost definitely not provide ANY information.
- JGV replies to TimetospeakthetruthI Just started working for this company. I felt sick to my stomach the first time I got on the phone with someone as my instincts started to kick in that this is not legit.... my " spidey" sense did go off after receiving the offer letter, as that was the first time I was informed the first six weeks were considered training, and I would not receive the full salary I was initially offered. Being an optimistic person, I went along with it all, but now, just a few weeks in, I know better. I've spent all day researching the company and have found endless complaints.... Now I need to figure how to get out of the job, and recoup my unemployment benefits, as I was only out of work for one month before accepting this offer.....any advice?
- TarsilaSame!!
They actually called me for weeks, but I was traveling. Eventually I got to call back and a woman, who sounded very nice and told me my CV was "inspiring", told me I would be published in a lot of places and get certificates and stuff, and would send me an email with the details for my "application" (I haven't even applied for anything, they just found me in linkedin). That sounded a bit weird, since I'm still a med student... But I was still very happy, because I thought my work was being recognised, and she said my CV would be visible to "thousands of doctors".
Then, all of a sudden, she mentions I have to choose between two subscriptions (a "golden" and a "diamond" one), costing around $600 each, along with a monthly subscription. In summary, paying a lot of money. I said I currently do not have a bank card because I'm moving from the UK to Brazil and have terminated my bank account here (which is true). She suddenly gets very angry and said "Really? How are you getting to the airport without a bank card? This is gonna be very hard", and I said I am, because I actually lost my Brazilian bank card and they cannot issue one here in the UK. She said "that's bad because the payment is due today, and you would have to be selected again to be able to participate in the ranking" and I say I have no choice since I do not have a bank card. Weird that they payment was "due today" after they have been calling me for weeks (but I didn't mention that). She then hungs up. and doesn't even send me the email she said before.
I searched for them in google. Their website is very crappy and they have a facebook page created 3 years ago with 7,000 followers. Does not seem like being visible to "thousands of doctors" for me. Just another scam...- Caller: Leading physicians of the world
- TarsilaAnd by the way the name of the caller was Joanne McGuire or something like that.

- Smarter than thatWow! I almost fell for this. I bargained down to the $34.95 a month, although I kept saying I wasn't familiar with this organization, I don't have credit cards, I need to talk it over with my family. When the phone disconnected and Kim Baker, my personal "account director" called me back from her personal phone number, 631-873-4584, I became even more suspicious. Her direct extension after the 877-447-8360 is x2266. She has my work e-mail. I wonder if I'm still going to hear from her to approve the final draft of my bio? Since I didn't pay up front, I'm thinking I won't hear from her again.

- AnnaAlso got a call. Fell for it. They flatter you , I kept asking them about when I applied for this (as I applied to many things in the past months). Now getting out of it, changing my credit card. They told me they would send me an e-mail with my information, and I have received nothing. I called my CC company immediately. Now that I'm reading all this I'm even more convinced.

- Robinson, DNP, FNP replies to IMG| 6 repliesJust hung up with an International Nurses Association representative and at the beginning of the call she was very friendly and promised that was would be honored and featured in the "2015 Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare" publication "complimentary" - I was specific in my questions because I know nothing in life is "free". However, after spending 27 minutes answer questions about my education, license, publications, etc, she revealed the true reason for her call and asked my to pay $789 plus $199 for my biography to be featured in the publication. I told her I would need to research the association and see what others a saying before deciding if it was something that would benefit me. She was very pushy and stated that I had to sign up while she had me on the phone because once the opportunity is gone - "it's gone." I politely told her I never sign up for" today only" type deals because they are usually scams and declined her offer. She then stated that she had already sent my information to the publication department and they had already started working on it and then she tried to get me to pay $199 plus $34 a month. I declined again and told her I was not interested especially since it's a "today only" deal. So she then informed me that only my name, credentials, and state would be listed in the book - I asked her where in the book and she stated in the back of the publication. What happen to her promise of me being "featured" complimentary - being listed in the back of a book is definitely not the same a being featured. They know that if they tell you this upfront, you will not waste your precious time with them on the phone or give any information. This association definitely lacks integrity and after reading reviews seem to also be a SCAM, do not waste a second speaking with them and tell all your colleagues that if they are ever contacted by this association - to immediately hangup.
- Jerome Stone replies to Robinson, DNP, FNP| 3 repliesI JUST went through the same thing. I've been charged $34 a month after explicitly stating that I DID NOT want any listing or recurring charges.
The representative, Krista Lombardo, repeated the same information to me, repeatedly, explaining that I had "signed up" for their recurring billing and account.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS ORGANIZATION - scam alert!!! - BarbFemale claimed to be from 'The International Nurses Association'. Kept me on the phone for over 20 minutes, and eventually asked for payment via credit card. I refused at that point and eventually had to hang up as she wouldn't stop talking regardless.

- Beaver Hudson replies to Jerome Stone| 1 replyGod - wish I had read this before I handed over 600 USD 6 weeks ago and then discovered today that they have stung me for another 199.00 USD. I thought there was something a it fishy but they caught me in a weak moment. can believe I fell for it!
- Canadian nurse replies to Caribbean| 2 repliesHi, Can you tell me what your bank told you to do? I also gave them my credit card number but they are starting to charge too much. How do I get out of this?
Thanks! - Canadian nurse replies to susanWere you able to get out of the membership and did the fraud department take care of your situation? I also cancelled my credit card and the association called to say they couldn't put through another 589$ for the publication. Trying to figure out what to do.
- Kiwi RNIm a New Zealand RN and they tried it on with me too. As soon as I asked to be sent something to back up their claim of what you get for the money you are investing in this supposedly professional organisation, the woman was like "oh no sorry you need to sign up now if youre going to do it". I cut the call. I had just wasted time talking about my achievements and professional scope for some 20 minutes (obviously to some idiot who has no idea what it all means anyway) and money is too hard to earn as a nurse to be giving it to thieves. BTW the number they rang from was +16318734584.

- ArielleI'm so upset! I never gave any of my credit card information but was totally falling for the being recognized as a top nurse!! I realized she was reading after a few moments but then, even worse, she goes, "oh wait! I almost forgot --- blah blah ((give me your money))" CLICK.

- Dee| 1 replyI got a call from the International Nurses Association stating that I had applied to be a member... I spoke to Tricia Hayes who gave me an Australian number to call back on. I was lucky enough to get some PayPal details to pay for my "membership" and have now blocked the number. I was surprised by how pushy she was at the end of the call about paying to have my name published. I'd rather be interviewed for my skills because it's legitimate and I'm amazing. Not because I have paid for the privilege. After reading this review. I'm glad I trusted my gut.

- juliannasong replies to DeeGot an identical call today from a Trisha Hayes saying she was in USA. Had an american accent. She said I had filled out an application, for membership to The International Association of Healthcare Professionals. I had seen the advert in LinkedIN, but I thought, from previous experience with Stanford Who's Who (after which I had to change my credit Card), that this was another scam. So I did not fill out that application. However I heard her out, and it was the same story - lots of ego-stroking. I had asked her right at the beginning how much it would cost, and I am sure she mentioned "free", or I would have cut the conversation short. Then, after the ego stroking, and my giving her some details about my professional career, we got to the fees. Diamond, Platinum, Gold memberships were offered -same prices as have already been written about. I said no. Finally offered an associate membership $US 190. I said I would not accept unless I had two days to thinks about it. She finally terminated the conversation. The number she called from was 00 1 631 873 4584, and the number she gave me to call back was 00 1 612 85203537. Both NSW numbers. The website for the organisation is http://www.iahcp.com/. Lesson learned again. Many thanks to all the other who have come before me.
