I kept getting calls from the "International Nurses Association" at 1-631-650-5315, a real professional sounding lady that identifies herself as "Kim Baker". She's now left my three voicemails, and in each one she sounds like she's in a very loud and busy call center. She wants "additional info" in order to publish me in their next journal.

This is for sure a scam as I'm a new nurse not even a year into practice. My phone identifies the number as "Scam/Fraud". I haven't picked up her calls and I don't intend to, as I'm sure she's gonna try to hustle money from me. She's even sounding more and more demoralized with every subsequent voicemail. Just hilarious.

This is exactly what happened to me today. I answered all the questions about myself, my educational background and etc. Then she asked me for $589 or $399. I said no right away. I don't believe in paying someone without knowing nothing about this " organization" . Thank you for posting this.

Same as everyone else, I received a letter and a phone call from the International Association of Respiratory Therapists. Thank goodness they only have my name, address, and phone number, and I didn't go as far as giving them my credit card information. It is such a shame that health care professionals are being subjected to this, and in such a way that it makes us feel recognized and honored only to find out that it is a total scam! It's a good thing they are not on video calls for this type of behavior. The old adage about not upsetting your waitress so you don't get 'extras' in your food... don't mess with your health care providers! My nice demeanor and good bedside manner may not extend as far as giving Ms. 'Joanna Maguire' a warm and welcome feeling as a patient.

So first I got a letter from this company saying I was nominated as Top Physician Assistant in NY, funny because I just graduated and haven't even started working yet. But intrigued naturally I filled out whatever they asked and then forgot about it. Received a call today from Samantha Palmer at "877-447-8360" the woman was super nice asking in detailed questions about my career and buttering me up praising how wonderful of an asset I will be etc. Just when I thought the call was over she slaps me with a oh and the fee will be $600 + an additional fee after publication and $35 a month after. Sorry no. I told her since I'm not working yet I can't afford it and she goes .. OH I just realized we do have a package for new grads its $189 flat no extra fees. OK lady. Told her I would call back she refused, so I put her on hold with plans to just hang up after a few minutes but she decided to hang up first. Maybe she grew a conscience? Who knows but pissed I wasted my time and willingly gave her information at first. Rookie mistake!

Been calling for my GF who has told them SHE IS NOT INTERESTED! yet they keep calling back (she used to be a nurse of 24 years - has not signed up for anything, no longer a nurse, no idea how they even got this new number since only thing used for so far is pharmacy!). 3rd time calling now, but naturally pissed at me.  Next call will unleash some calls to them so I can have some fun f'n with them back since they enjoy phone games.

Thank you all so much. I just received a letter from the "International Association of Respiratory Therapists" and was a little suspicious being selected as "Top Respiratory Therapist" of my very small home town. I am pretty sure I am the only RT in that town, that I no longer live in. All of these comments have been extremely helpful in helping me to decide not to go to the web site that they put on the letter. The letter looked very legitimate and was written in a very flattering manner however.

They select healthcare professionals randomly and offer them to be in network's website for free. Then they call you to get your additional info and at the end they ask for membership fee for $850 to $2500. When I let them know that I am not interested, they tried to contact me by email and fortunately their email ended up in my Spam. Just delete them.

This number called my phone. No voice mail left. Called number back and someone from International nurses association answered. I hanged up right away after reading all the posts on this website. It's a shame people are coming up with all sort of ways to deceive. I did get a letter from this company about being selected as a top nurse in the city where I live. The letter ended with, "Remember, there's never a charge to be included in the INA and your entry into worldwide leaders in healthcare is complimentary as well." Be aware in general!
