I get Calls many times a day I answer, but  they want me to call them back, I don't know who they are. They give me a number me to call them back.

I talked to Best Buy about this today and they said the number that you are asked to call is not one of their or Citi's numbers.  I guess the people defending the anonymous caller in their posts are part of it trying to sow confusion.

Got a call from this number saying it was City.

Asked me to call back at 855-242-6899. Very important. Not a sales call.

It is an automated ROBOT calling. Not convincing.

I'd call it a scam. I don't do business with City.  I don't know who they are, so they must be pocket dialing or trying to scam me.

Another call early in the morning.  We've just instituted a new policy:  unless we know the person calling or the number, we just let it ring - WE DO NOT ANSWER!  If the caller leaves a message fine; if they don't, it must not have been that important, or maybe it was a telemarketer or scammer.  I don't have any use for them anyway, nor am I interested in anything they have to say or sell.  JUST DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE EVERY TIME IT RINGS.  Has saved us a lot of time and headache.

This number calls all day starting at 8:25 am and night the latest at 9:00 Monday thru
So I finally pickup the phone and it's not a person ,it's a prompt you to death recording. They tell you it's Best Buy but not what they want. Are you this person? No press 2. Ok press 2,please hold. Holding ,holding,holding. Another prompt comes on "press 1 if we have reached a wrong number". Pressed 1 now holding,holding ,holding . Elevator music. What the H? I need up hanging up. They still call every day and night. I'm ready to get rid of my landline.
Really after the"are you so and so " if you say no press 2, then the wrong number press 1 ,they should f-ing END IT!

Supposedly best bet/citi, I've been on auto pay for 2 years, now they say they need my whole social security #, checking account#, routing#, mailing address, home address, birthday... I've never had to give a routing number, or whole social.., seems shady, beware

I get anywhere from 27 to 40 +calls a day on my cell phone. I have them on the block list with T-Mobile but they just keep coming in. I guess I`ll have to cancel my cell phone like I did my house phone and have no phones at all.If its Best buy I sure will never shop there in fact I`ve never even been in that store

Same with me!  My bill is due on the 20th. They have been calling since the 3rd of March! I talked once to a lady and told her I would pay by the 20th! ANd again, they are calling!

These calls fron 877-561-2272, and other unsolicited calls, do get irritating.  Since they usually hang up on the 4th ring, I recently changed my answering machine to pick up on the 2nd ring.  If the caller leaves a message you at least get an idea what they are up to, otherwise you just ignore the call.  With any luck the connection will result in a chargeable call on their end.  In any case, I don't have to lsten to 4 rings anymore.

I do not have any credit cards or attempted to sign up for Best Buy's and I get called at least twice a week.

Won't say calls every day same time

I get a call at least 2-3 times a day from this number. They have called both my work phone and personal mobile phone. I am joining the do not call list. They have left a voicemail once and it was nondescript, and I have never answered their calls.

I keep getting that same message on my phone, too. I refuse to call it back after reading these messages. I am not late on any payments; so why they are calling is beyond me. I have added the number to my reject call list but it still gets to my voicemail, which is very annoying, but at least it doesn't ring. I am on the Do Not Call list so maybe my next step is to report this number to them...

I'm irritated because I have already let them know what and when I will pay. Period.

Started getting these on my work cell phone, so I called by.  It is CITI servicing Best Buy cards, and they are calling regarding delinquent accounts.  I gave them the number they called, and let them know I did not have a Best Buy card - she updated the files and apologized for the inconvenience.

This has happened a couple times.  Phone numbers get recycled after a while (company owned phones even faster), and the guy that had my number before me apparently wasn't real good about paying his bills.  I know there are a lot of scammers, but the info in this list helps a lot to determine what might be happening.  I've returned about 5-6 of these calls (like I said, not real good about paying his bills); I've treated the agent politely and have been treated the same in return.

1-877-561-2272 is a scam. Don't be cheated. After being harassed for a week of repeated calling (3-4 times a day), I finally picked up the phone and warned them this number is being reported to the police as a scam.  The lady claimed it is a commercial call and asked for someone who I don't know.  I said that the person doesn't live here, and she said that my number will be noted.

This number comes up 7 days a week. I answer and a recorded message tells me to call another number. I called the number and no live person answers. I do not want to receive these calls, I have no CITI account and I do not want one so whatever they want from me is truly unsolicited.

This caller asks to speak with my daughter, who has lived in another state for five years.  They keep calling even after I told them she doesn't live here and that I had told her they were calling.  They don't leave a message, and they won't tell what they are calling about.

This call appears to be a scam.
