"Why haven't these numbers been shut down??!!"

Because, people need to report these calls, with details like date, time, what was said, incoming phone number, etc.
    Have you reported it?

If I'm not mistaken they legally aren't allowed to call you multiple times a day like that especially if you already talked to them.

This number has called a few times. Now they are blocked since they never identified the nature of their business.

I don't have a Best Buy card and the only time I visited their store I used a Wells Fargo card. So I don't know why they would be calling.  Could this number be used for other stores or cards?  My last purchase was over two years ago.  They have called five times this since Wed, Sep 24.

The "Do Not Call List" is a joke.   I've been on it for years and I get hundreds of these bogus calls.

telemarketer's are excluded in the Do Not Call List. Same with Political Calls we continually get when its election time. Plus the Do not call list is BS they don't do anything when you get these annoying calls. Its better too call the BBB or FTC

    >> telemarketer's are excluded in the Do Not Call List.   <<

Have you been overindulging in adult beverages, or did you misuse the word "excluded"?

    Here, try reading this:
"The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) amended the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR) to give consumers a choice about whether they want to receive most telemarketing calls. As of October 1, 2003, it became illegal for most telemarketers or sellers to call a number listed on the National Do Not Call Registry."
    https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov/faq/faqbusiness.aspx

Also, the BBB has little to no ability to enforce the DNC rules.
However, you are correct with one statement:  Contact the FTC to report scam phone calls.

No, telemarketers ARE included-political, charities and non-profit calls are exempt.

    Correct.
But, methinks, many people do not read the words in the DNC agreement, therefore make some very strange statements.

This sounds more like a telemaggoter trying to justify calling people on the list and causing confusion

For the past two weeks at 8:10 AM every morning I get a recorded call from this number telling me to call another number. I now know this is Best Buy  so I called  them to have the calls stopped. "They can't help me without me giving them info". I refused to give them anything but my name and phone number which is not sufficient according to them. I am now going to report Best Buy to our Attorney Generals office, my phone company and the Better Business Bureu  for being a nuisance. I am also going to close my account with them (my balance  is zeo so I don't owe them anything).

Its not Best Buy.  Its a scammer pretending to be Best Buy.  They want all of your information so they can steal your identity and spend your money.

The scammers are probably operating from outside the US.  The Attorney General can't do anything about them.

Best Buy- I was accidentally 2 days late on my payment last month, but I paid for last month AND this month as soon as I realized it. Three days after my payment I received my first phone call. In the last week I have received at least two  calls each day. I answered just today and explained in frustration that I am sorry I was two days late but I am not paid ahead, and I was told "Well we just want to make sure you aren't going to habitually get behind." Jesus, I opened this account just 3 months ago! That's why I forgot to set up automatic bill pay!

They called me three times in one day on a day that I happened to be sick! I told the lady that I was not feeling well and to call back on a day when I'm feeling better. But nope! Had to call back two hours later. Disrespectful.

If you have an iPhone you can block these types of calls. Or turn your phone to "do not disturb" it does wonders. Now they won't ever bother me again.

They have now called my house 50 times and have never left a message. First off we don't have a Best Buy account or a Citibank card so why are they calling? Leave a friggin' message too...that would be nice.
