I keep getting a call for the number 877-561-2272. They never leave a message which is what they should be doing no matter what. I simply want this to stop, spammer scammer possible.

I had been receiving phone calls every few months from a collection agency who found a listing for Ford Automobile Credit, a loan which i paid i full several years ago.  I actually have a letter from Ford stating that the account was paid in full and was ALWAYS on time, and NEVER went into late status.  I FRAMED that letter from Ford and hung it on my wall, so that I could FAX the arrogant collection agency from phoning me for NO REASON!  Obviously, mistakes happen, and despite your adamant position - there DO exist overzealous collection agencies who BUY lists do not bother to check if the account is valid or not. DO NOT BOTHER TO REPLY TO ME.

i don't have a best buy card. They call, it rings once, they hang up. They do this process three times in a row  I don't even have a chance to answer it.

More of the annoying constant daily calls since Oct 2014.  I haven't posted in a while so I figure I'd do a year-end list since my last post on Nov 23.  The number of scam calls I've received is ridiculous, I get as many as 20 a day now, TWENTY (I'm not displaying calls with no numbers here, I get a few of those too).  How many hundreds of calls do I need to get before it is considered harassment?  Phone company won't do anything about it, they want to sell me more overpriced crap.  I'll probably be switching to a VoIP service soon so I can have control over my line without getting ripped off.

Anyway, here's the nightmare of calls.  By the way, I don't owe anyone money, I've never had a student loan, I've never done business with "Conn's" or "SALLIE MAE", these calls are pure BS.  And they never leave a message when they manage to get the voice mail:

I don't know how much more I'll be posting, I think this list gives the idea and I simply can't keep up with it anymore.  I bought a new Panasonic phone that allows 250 blocked numbers and you can set it to not ring on the first ring before it blocks, which has helped save my sanity (I'm not posting the model number here so this isn't considered spam, but it's easy to find with a search).

Thanks for all of the messages on this phone number (even some of them are not so pleasant). It was Citibank for Best Buy. I didn't know my bank didn't auto pay this month. The message just says something un-useful like "we appreciate your time. Please call us at Citi and someone will help you."  I don't have a Citibank card  and didn't know Best Buy was using them. I finally called after seeing this thread of information. I told them to change their message to something that lets us know it's actually Best Buy and we'll call back much faster.

Calls. I pickup. Says some random things like they don't care after I answered the phone. Then they hang up. Other times leaves no message.

They keep calling and leaving messages, no identification. You call back, there is no answer. They have also started to call from another phone number.

Just because they call you, does not mean you do not pay your bill. They call me nonstop and I have no purchases from Best Buy.

Today the number didn't call me. I'm guessing two possibilities

1. A scam pretending to be Best Buy's to obtain personal information
2. They realized they had the wrong number considering as I mentioned in a previous comment, that I haven't been to a Best Buy since Wyatt Earp came out on VHS

I am reading some of these posts, and will keep the comments to myself.

People on here are "claiming" that they dont have a credit card from this particular creditor, but if you are so sure about that, check your old statements, and pull up your credit report from all three credit bureaus.

They dont call you just at random to harrass you because they have nothing better to do; they call you becuase you have business with them, regarding an account you have with the issuing bank of the card (ie, citi, syncrony, comenity, etc).  If you do think it is a scam, then check your bank account; pull up your credit report; check your credit card statements.. then you will know for sure.

I have been getting calls from them and I can confirm that it is from Best Buy regarding the Best Buy credit card I have. Before you start to think anything negative, I do pay my bills, but unfortunately, I recently became unemployed, so now, I have to readjust my budget so that I can pay any outstanding debts I have (which isn't much), but also have money for food/utilities.

If you have time to post a comment about how annoying, harrasing, and frustrating it is, and you are wanting the calls to stop, then you have time to check your credit and call the company to make sure that there is in fact, nothing that you owe.

I checked with Best Buy. They do not have a call-back service. This is a fraudulent number. Do not give them info.

I got a call with really bad call quality and when I called back, they told me my payment was a week behind, but they saw that I scheduled a payment and wouldn't call again. This happened all of 2 minutes ago and my payment was late.

It's not the store, it's Citibank calling regarding the Best Buy Rewards card that you can sign up for in-store.
