This call is generated by a computer, it is a third party call center for credit cards. It appears to be a collection call.
Not just Citibank, but HSBC, Capitol One, etc. Take the call, listen and respond, if they are wrong tell them so.
If it is you and you missed a payment, deal accordingly.
However, if it is you and they are calling a cell phone, check the Telephone Call Protection Act and the Fair Debt Collection Act.
The may not call your cell phone, if you provided as your contact no. you can change to land line, so they don't use up min.
You can tell them when and where it is ok to call you, NOT at work, etc. READ THE LAWS. KEEP RECORDS OF ALL DATES TIMES NAMES ETC. Most of the time the callers have not been educated as to the law, they make many mistakes, and you can sue them and win. If they are really bad a Consumer attorney will take the suit for free, collecting his cost from collector. Visit www.creditinfocenter.com to learn more as I did. Good Luck, and yes, you can always block the call but that will not solve the problem forever.

I get several calls daily from this number. A recording asks "Please push (goes silent) to accept this call", my caller ID shows the call coming from League City, TX. I called the number back to be removed from the  call list and got a recording from CitiCard to enter my account number. Sure to be a scam, I don't use CitiCard.

I wish they would stop call us every day at 2:57 and the record said it is Citibank and I don't have anything or credit for Citibank. Just leave us alone.

It is not citi calling, it is a phishing outfit from the Philippines. Contact your phone co. and file a complaint

2 calls today, male and female, both with accents.  They wanted my birth date when I said I had no Home Depot credit card (I did not supply) and would not confirm any of my info.  I asked them to tell me my address and they offered to transfer me to their fraud department.  I hung up.  I will not answer that number again.

Citibank handles the credit cards for many other companies.  For example, a Shell credit card is actually an account with Citibank.  The calls may not be scams.  They may be related to late payments or other financial issues concerning firms with which you may actually have an account.

It is not Citibank...it is a phishing scam. They have your info because they stole it.

    Don't worry about it.
I've been getting a call from this # on a daily basis. I never answer and they always leave a v/m. It says "were sorry we couldn't reach you in person, please call xxxxxxxxx city..." They can get away with it bc it says city and not specifically the citibank etc. They would never abbreviate their name. It's a scam 100%. iPhone users can use the block caller feature from the recent calls menu direct.

We keep getting hang up calls from this company every single day....all day long!  Only one time, they asked for our accounts payable person, but refused to leave a message.  They hung up on me.  Now that I wrote down their number, I'll hang up on them next time they call.  My boss is ok with that.  ;)
