- MeganMultiple times a day receiving calls from this number. I blocked the number thru my cell. They leave automated vm sometimes stating its not a sales call and an associate will be on the line to help me shortly. Then a few seconda later and foreign speaking person repeatedly says my name and hello. Over and over. Dont they get that it's a vm. Obviously many times they have people just listening n not speaking back. Why else would they do that. Either way, I dont have a Citi bank credit card. I don't own any but one that's thru ford credit. It was the last payment n it was late. I'm thinking maybe this scam could get info from other company card acctss when theyre late paying and that's their IN to get in touch with you and try to get your info to steal your identity/money. I would just simply pay to the company directly to which you owe. If you need to talk to someone call the number attached to the card you have. Dont trust any incoming calls. Plain and simple.

- Gator replies to B101Now believe it or not, there are people out there who want your money without earning it honestly. I know, I know, the concept is so out of our realm of comprehension, but trust me, it's true. And, again, believe it or not, sometimes, they will actually lie to get your money. Can you believe that? I have 0 outstanding debt and still get calls. In the modern world of technology, there are things called "autodialers" and malicious programs and websites that can and will abuse your information, one such way being selling it to someone who will call you, lie to you, and attempt to get your money dishonestly. I know it's a lot to take in all at once, but websites like this are actually designed for people to share feedback and ideas on specific numbers, so that other people can more easily avoid these dishonest people. Hope this helped!
- TripishaYes - Claimed to be from Citi Bank - then my voice mail left another phone number that this person called from

- Ur an idiot replies to B101I don't answer because I work nights and am TRYING TO SLEEP when these "creditors" call and don't leave a message on my answering machine.... I do not return calls that I don't recognize nor do I answer callers who do not identify who they are. I do not have the time nor do I care to be wasting my time trying to "research" who the unknown caller is......screw them.
- Gramma replies to mommy3I've been checking on Citi Bank and learned that the "small store credit cards" under the stores names include Home Depot, numerous Tire and Auto Repair shops with different names and in different areas of the country, like Big 0 Tires where I live, for example, and many others. I also learned that Citi Bank aka CitCorp is a world bank, and that first Saudi Arabian prince that recently came under investigation a week or so before being killed was one of the primary share holders. They are affiliated also with other credit card providers, Discover, and Capital One being 2 that I can think of off hand, and within the last couple of weeks made an agreement to take over providing Sears credit cards. Citi is a huge bank and any or all of us could have some small credit card that we think is one stores' card, and later find out that Citi is behind it. Who knows, maybe even Lowe's and large furniture stores who open credit for us is all part of City Bank.
- Gramma replies to HADENOUGH| 1 replyCiti is the bank behind these cards, that's why they're trying to collect if you have a late payment. It's all kinds of gas station companies cards, Home Depot, various Tire and Auto Repair shops, childrens' clothing stores, countless places. They are a world bank affiliated with Discover card and Capital One credit cards, I recently read they're taking over the Sears credit cards. They're a huge world bank, if you apply for a credit card somewhere, there's no way to know, but it could easily be one actually provided by Citi Bank, regardless of the name of the store.
- BigA replies to GrammaNo they are not associated with Discover and Capital One since those entities are completely separate. If you apply for a credit card, the issuers name is clearly identified on the application.
