This happening to me to... They did it to both of my checking accts from diff banks 0.0 did switching cards help ?

I saw all this negative feedback about this company called Global telink- connect collect calls from inmates incarcerated. I thought I was being smart calling the jail itself to see who they use as a carrier and it is the same number that when I call this company re assures u they are global telink, however 2 or 3 of the other numbers on my caller id and given by global telink are not the initial number the jail gave me, the jail has global telink number for inmates to call collect to u as 877-650-4249 however then when u call that number they set u up w/ ur credit card. I gave all my info and said I did not want my cc to be on file, scary as I called back minutes later to see if acct was actually legit and it had saved my acct even though I didn't have enough funds to put in and my card was not activated yet, but once I made a purchase it would auto activate the cc. I will call bank in a.m. to see if my acct has been charged. this is so scary, I have been receiving calls from the 800-483-8314 and it claims to be from a pre paid acct collect call and I do have someone at that jail I know very well, so it sounds believable but when I just looked it up i'm afraid its a scam. u can place 25.oo, 50.oo, 75.oo, or 100.oo on the cc for pre paid calls. Why would the jail be handing out this number, 877-650-4249 if it was a scam? then I questioned that once u call global link they have these other numbers for u to call and when u do maybe that is where the scam comes in w/ ur cc as they list the two numbers as 1-866-230-7761 to speak to a live rep. or 1-877-650-4249 for billing and blocks. I did give all my cc info and a acct was established it just says "I do not have sufficient funds". I must call the jail and see if any other inmates families are having an issue or complaints w/ scams from the global telink phone service they use for the inmates to connect w/ family. Pray I was not scammed. uhhhh. as they have the cc and can do that taking out of 25. or 50. or up to 100. and I must watch for this and who knows this scam co could be in india for all I know. every one who answers and I called like 6 times they all are foreign speaking Indian heritage, as the accent is the same.

Same Here 2 chgs on 7/7/2014 one for 221.68 other 223.97 from Golbal Tel Link 877-650-4249 thankfully Cap One fraud dept called me and they cancelled the chgs.

These mothafuckas took $100 out my checking account!!! This is [***]!!! Who do I talk to?? Times is too hard for some [***] like this to happen!!

Samething happened to me!!!!

You'll need to dispute the charge with your bank. Also, you might consider closing that account and opening a new one with a new number.

Its collect calls from prison somebody might be trying to call u but they cant call without money being loaded on your phone thru this num! My boyfriend call me thru global tel I load money so he is able to call and I haven't been scamed!

Got three large charges on my Visa bill from this company, citing this phone number in the charge description. Totalled $330. Luckily my Visa card company noticed and called me and so I don't have to pay the charges. Also getting a new card. No one else uses my card and I hardly ever use it. I hate thinking about how someone could have gotten my card number-I have no idea.

I found a charge on my bank account saying "Inmate phone 1-877-650-4" thats all I had. Then the bank told me it was from Alabama. I filed a fraud complaint and tracked down this site.  I use ATT for my cell company. I live in Washington State and no,I do not know any one in jail or prison in an city or state.

Just talked to GTL about having my number blocked.  Have had at least 6 calls from this company today.  Called the bank to alert them about possible fraud on our account.  They said as a precaution we can set limits on our account and monitor it for any unauthorized purchases.

I had 20.00 taken from my checking accounts I don't know how they did it or who did it do I need to change my account number

I have 3 charges on my account for $25/$25/$50 and all have this 18776504249  but I never accepted a call from this #.

If that number is on your bank statement, that is the phone number of the company or processing agent that charged your card.  Your bank should be able to tell you the name and address of the company as well.  You can dispute the charges.

They took $60 out of my debit card but called boa and they will reemburse
