This has being on for a week and it goes straight to my voicemail and I can never block the number. Its really pissing me off and these [***] need to knock it off! Sick of this [***]. Stupid Americans trying to rip ppl off, its not my fault your in jail cuz your Stupid citizen!

I didnt get a call from this number but my credit card was somehow stolen by this agency.  My bank contacted me and that 800 number was on the attempted charge.  I have no idea how they got my information.  The charge was declined because they had the incorrect expiration date and 3 digit security code.

Cuando tengas alguna persona querida en una carcel, nunca utilices este servicio, si tu autorizas un monto  pero ellos cargan doble en tu tarjeta, incluso despues que ya salio en libertad el detenido,  continuaron cargandome el servicio sin tener autorizacion,esto siguio hasta que tuve que cancelar mi tarjeta de credito, realmente la compañia GTL es una mafia lista a asaltar.  Existen otros servicios mucho mas baratos al que se puede acceder.

The Customer Service people are SO rude. No help at all and very nasty attitude.

Received a call from my bank stating that several charges had been made to my account. The number referenced was 877-650-4249 Global Tel* Link. Called this number to find out that someone had used my card on their automated phone system (which by the way only requires your card information; no billing name or address, etc.) to pay for several changes to an "offender phone account". When I wanted to know where the heck MY stolen money went to, that they processed, Josh stated that I was "the one making this difficult". My money is stolen because of the services this company provides and when I am upset because they took my money but can't tell me where it went I am the one making things difficult! Seriously! Well then again Global Tel* Link is the one providing an (easy scam) system to criminals! In speaking with the next rep I asked to what number the payments were made to and was told that due to "privacy" reasons they are not allowed to release this information without a court ordered supena. So, MY money is stolen through their business which helps provide calling privileges to CRIMINALS and yet telling me which inmates (i've apparently provided phone privileges for) is a privacy matter!! And though they stated that they DO have the information in which would provide details on locating these dirt bags (which apparently is not the inmate but a friend or "loved-one" using my money) they are unable to tell me where my stolen money has gone. They won't even provide a state in which I can begin to look into this.  

To bad dirtbags like your son ruin the rest of our lives in the hug a thug country we live in....

Gets better.  This number showed up on my CC Bill as an INMATE Collect Call.  Two charges for $25 and one for $75.

I keep getting calls from this number, telling me I have a collect call from an inmate. I immediately hang up, but the calls keep coming. I didn't  even understand how the calls were getting through, since my phone is a prepaid phone. Finally, tonight I had had enough and tried 5 times before I got through. I finally spoke with a very nice representative, her name was Sienna and she assured me the calls would stop within 24 hours. Only problem is if they call from another jail or the jail changes phone providers, I will have to go through this whole process again. Thanks, Sienna!! I sure hope this works !

I never actually received a call from this number. Instead, this phone number appeared on my visa credit card bill as a part of the description for charges fraudulently made to my account. The exact description was "GTL*INMATE PHONE SVC 877-650-4249 AL". My CC company saw the unusual activity and called me to inquire. There were several $50 charges made. I'm not sure how, when. or who got my CC info. I never lost possession of the actual card.

I have been hasseled by GlobalTel for over a week--supposed calls from the local county jail and an 800 number also from a correctional facility. I finally had to call my local sherriff office for the 877-650-4249 number which gave me a run around till I informed them I was going to contact someone in authority to stop this harassment. Then was asked if I wanted to 'block' these type of call--which they supposedly did. This is BS. Some body is scamming people and the FCC needs to put a stop to this crap!

Telling me I have a western union bill from offenders. I am not talking to anyone in prison! I also am on the do not call list so they are breaking the law!

Watch your bank accounts, I got a charge on my debt card from this company for 50.00 then a second one for 248.28. They are getting your bank account numbers from your phone bill and make withdrawals.

I'm not getting calls however someone is making charges against my debit card for 50.00 first then a second one two minutes later for 248.28 to Comcast in TN. watch your phone bill charges and bank accounts closely.
