dead air and then someone with a heavy accent came on line asking for someone. Could not understand this person. Finally asked them if this was a personal business call. They mumbled something and sorry ma'am. and hung up

Answered the phone, it rang on the other side like I had called them, then silence. I said hello & the call was disconnected.
I hope they call back soon so I can say the magic words, "put us on your do-not-call list" & make them go away.

We to recently purchased a car through Ally Financial but they have so far ONLY called me but both my husband AND I are the buyers. In fact they SHOULD be calling my husband first as he was listed as the buyer. Im the co-buyer. I really dont have time for this....and would NEVER give my social security # to ANYONE over the phone. NO way. There are too many ways people can listen into calls through hacking software and your whole identity can be compromised with that one number.

I finally had to text the phone # to my  husband and say PLEASE call them and find out what they want as I dont have time to deal with them. Im busy trying to get my Pharm Tech diploma and don't have time for these distractions. So annoying. I know they're just trying to help but wow... quit calling ME and call my husband whos actually OFF today.

I know right? Calling me EVERY day for the last three days is really annoying. If they'd bother to leave a voicemail, and let ME call THEM back at a time that's more convenient for ME instead of these daily calls Id be less annoyed right now.

I just had to update this phone information. I too was approved through Ally for a car loan and awaiting a call. BUT this 877-669-5107 who called me, wanted to GIVE A WAY a 100 walmart gift card. Now, with that being said, I am very knowledgeable since I am in the legal field of these tricksters. I called the number back from my work phone so my legal office came up on their caller ID information data base. I was told the mans name was Shawn Parker and he said he was calling to see if I was approved for a 100 gift card and started to ask the personal questions that some people would just let fall out of their mouths. I said to Shawn, Why do you need my zip code? Why do you need my birthday? He then tried to dance around with his words and to my surprise, I said what company are you calling from and why didn't that information come up when I called you back? You see, the automated system stated, hang on for a representative, it did not say, you have reached "so and so business"
So with all of this being said, This number is NOT ALLY BANK any longer and I sure hope no one has given their information out.
Ally banks auto loan info is Ally Auto Finance by calling 1-888-925-2559 (ALLY) Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 11:00pm, or Saturday - Sunday from 9:00am to 7:00pm.
And if anyone has any doubt, call your dealer back to get the proper information and or phone number to call. DO NOT GIVE OUT information to a phone number that is not a paid business number. Now a days, there is all kind of applications and or software that can create a totally different number along with a fake name to come up on the caller IDs.
I did my homework and verified this information for the ALLY bank auto loan before I gave out any of my information.
I do believe we have to be responsible for our own actions, because businesses and so much more is NOT responsible for their theft actions.
Have a great day, and I hope I stopped some fraud for someone!

I've been getting calls all this week from them. I finally answered and they said they were Ally financial. This IS the name of the loan company used to purchase my new car. They knew the make/model of my car. However as soon as they started asking me to verify  my information I stopped talking to them. Too many scams out there. They can send me an email on how to set things up for to have me call in. I'm not giving a random phone call/person my information. It wasn't worth the risk.

OK, the 877-669-5107 is a FRAUD for ALLY FINANCIAL. I was able to verify this was a fraud when I actually called the 888-925-2559 number for ALLY FINANCIAL. I purchased a new car and when I got the call from the fraud number, I called my dealer to get the actual ALLY FINANCIAL number, and it was the 888 number. I had not heard from them to verify my information, so I called them and yes, they had all of my new car info, as well as all of my personal info. I called the fraudulent number and got a voicemail saying someone will be with me in a moment...of course they never did after 3 minutes. 877-669-5107 IS A FRAUD PEOPLE...ALLY FINANCIAL IS 888-925-2559!

Paralegal...you are totally correct! I did the same thing you stated in your post. I called my dealer to confirm ALLY FINANCIAL 888-925-2559 info. I also informed my dealer what was happening fraudulently, and he stated he would contact ALLY FINANCIAL because he knows who to talk with.

I just spoke with the actual Ally Bank, where I just had a car financed on August 29, 2015. I told them about the calls from 877-669-5107. I was told that number is Ally Bank's welcome department. They call new customers approximately 2 weeks after you make a purchase and after your purchase transaction has finished completely and your account has been setup. They apologized for the various calls and told me my account is good to go, and if I wanted to, I could go online and setup online payments. I contacted Ally @ 877-247-2559. They are going to ask for either your SS# if you don't have your account info yet, or your account # if you have one.  Hope this helps!
